If I am UCR, is it too late to send some missive to Penn along the lines of, "please accept me, you are my first and only love. if offered admission, i will accept the same day" ?????
Edit: This was a serious post. I am asking.

Actually I went UCR on 1/29 and got my acceptance call on 2/4, so it only took about a week.managamy wrote:In a word: no.JusticeHarlan wrote:Is there usually that fast of a turn-around after going UCR?castellon wrote:Got a call from an unknown number in class today, with voicemail, I was hoping it was Penn, but as soon as I checked the missed call and saw "Austin, TX" under the number I knew it was UT. I went UCR 1/29, so maybe tomorrow?

If you didn't write a "why" essay then this might help. Call the admissions office and ask how they feel about adding stuff to your file. Good luck.sjj05 wrote:If I am UCR, is it too late to send some missive to Penn along the lines of, "please accept me, you are my first and only love. if offered admission, i will accept the same day" ?????

Admits are called; non-admits hear via email or status checker.turkishangora wrote:legalnoeagle wrote:UCR 2/5. It's my first update. Original complete date was 1/6.

Eeek, that was a fail.dudester wrote:Pleading fail.aPosseAdEsse wrote:UCR today. Please god. I'll pay out the ying yang for Penn. (I wish I had managed to put that in my application.)
Btw, I guess a lot of people "pay out the ying yang" to go to Penn. (where did I get that expression anyway?) My point is that I really want to go to an intellectually rigorous institution, at any cost.
I think my application went straight from complete to UCR. Could that mean anything good or bad?

Even if God had a separate voicemail system for 0Ls, the message light would always be blinking.aPosseAdEsse wrote:UCR today. Please god. I'll pay out the ying yang for Penn. (I wish I had managed to put that in my application.)

How long after you go under committee review do you get your decision?
edit: oops, read the previous poast(s) fail.

Re: U Penn 2010
Question... I took my first LSAT a couple of days ago, rocked 3 sections, and had some trouble on RC... seriously considering cancelling. I know I want to apply ED to Penn for the class of 2011, so... for those of you who got in ED this cycle, did any of you have a low-ish LSAT score and then took the test again and got a higher one (167+)? I seriously have no idea what I got on the test, and I'm not sure whether cancelling or keeping my score is the right choice here... I know Penn doesn't really say whether they average or not, so that doesn't help...

Re: U Penn 2010
Did anyone who was admitted have over a month pass between their last UCR date and being admitted? I've been UCR since 1/7 (either my 2nd or third UCR date, can't quite remember, submitted mid-November), and I've heard nothing!
My numbers are in my profile (and in YP territory), but I did put a lot of time and effort into writing three supplemental essays since Penn is one of my top choices (every one except the GPA/LSAT addendum type question). Should I be expecting a WL at this point or should I send a LOCI or anything?

+1 (also 1/29 -> 2/8). If we're a group, I feel for you. I expect a rejection.JusticeHarlan wrote:UCR 1/29 -> UCR 2/8, anyone else get movement today?
