Waitlisted also, which is a little surprising, I was bracing for a ding instead. Anyone have thoughts of chances for getting in off the waitlist?

I haven't given it too much thought but will probably involve visiting the school and some variation of the below

Are those waitlisted today mainly on priority reserve or the regular waitlist?

got the same thing yesterday. discouraging that it took (for me) 13 days to arrive. so i guess we should expect scholarship info not for a week or two.

Anyone have an opinion on the best time to send in a Loci? Not sure if I should go ahead with one now or wait until April.

The sooner the better. You want them to know you will choose them w/o even considering other offers.

If anyone is cancelling an interview, please send me a PM. I couldn't even get an interview date before some of my other schools' deposit deadlines and would VERY MUCH like to move up my appointment time.

Duke's scholarship application system might be the most ridiculous in the T14 if you're someone who is hoping for need + merit aid.

eta: RZ, you may want to post this in the Duke c/o 2019 thread as well. Some admits don't check the applicant threads regularly after they've been accepted.

Yeah combining need+merit seems to complicate the process, and it worries me that they're considered together when merit aid and need aid should be totally unrelated. I guess the Mordecai is still decoupled from the rest of the aid process, but unfortunately I didn't get an invite for that, despite stellar numbers.

What's the date on your status checker for the scholarship under "mailings"?

February 17--and I interviewed during the third week of interviews, I believe.

that's encouraging! I got something from Duke dated 2/5 in the mail the other day and I was worried it'd take that long for the scholarship info as well

SO means significant other in most contexts. assuming that CiscoDisco is referring to their boy/girlfriend/parter/spouse/fiance receiving an offer of admission via email, as usual.

Given the context, "scholarship offer" seemed equally plausible (but maybe I'm just antsy). Also, I'm not used to seeing people post on behalf of other people, but hey it's totally cool with me if that was the intention.
