I know that 4 or 5 breweries are opening up or have opened up very recently. Michigan in general is a fantastic beer state, though. Bells, Founders, Shorts, Dark Horse, Kuhnhenn, Jolly Pumpkin, etc. all make great beers.urbanist11 wrote:Isn't that like a 6 hour drive though lol. Yeah, the only place I found the last time I was in NYC that had reasonable prices (for me and what I'm accustomed to paying) was a place in Greenwich Village funny enough.benwyatt wrote:They have a rotating selection and it changes daily. The Abyss wrote:Personally that selection, while big, leaves a lot to be desired. Not my favorite bar to go to, but their selection is unrivaled.
You can find just about anything you want in NYC though.
And yeah, prices are high, but they're like that everywhere here.
And that's good to know about the rotating selection. That's a mark of a good beer bar.

Going to NU or Chicago would be nice for the fresh Zombie Dust.urbanist11 wrote:So I've heard. Haven't tried anything yet though personally. Michigan, in addition to Bell's, has Dark Horse, Greenbush, Jolly Pumpkin, Founder's, New Holland, Short's. Chicago probably gets most/all of these distributed though too.The Abyss wrote:Ok, not fairly regularly, but Hill Farmstead is arguably one of the best breweries in the world.urbanist11 wrote:Isn't that like a 6 hour drive though lol. Does anyone else sing "Shake Senora" in their head (but replacing the words with "fips tedora") every time fips posts?
No? Just me? Ok.
