What are the chances of being accepted on the last day possible of ED? IS that completely unheard of??

I remember seeing the answer to my question somewhere earlier on this thread, but I completely forget where it was.
Can someone inform me as to what these UR1, UR2, UR3 status changes mean? My first status date was 2/1, then 2/11, and then today changed to 2/12. I applied Early Binding.
Thanks!

I'm not sure. But remember that they have 15 business days, not 15 days. So you probably have more time than you think.bruceaquizzer1 wrote:What are the chances of being accepted on the last day possible of ED? IS that completely unheard of??

Just got accepted at the end of a phone interview! Went complete 12/02 and had no status change until this morning when I got an email inviting me to speak with the Assistant Dean of Admissions. LSAT:25th, GPA<25th, Solid Softs, URM.

So, if I were to send in a "Why UVA" since I've been under review since November. Would I just send it to the admissions office email with a short note thanking them for their consideration? Should I include an updated resume? Who do I address the email to? Could I be more neurotic?

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I called the admissions office and asked them if I could submit a "Why UVA" essay (I'd only been UR for about a week though). She encouraged it and asked that I attach it as a PDF to the admissions email address and they would add it to my file. I don't see why it could hurt anything at this point.BirdLawExpert wrote:So, if I were to send in a "Why UVA" since I've been under review since November. I might do that this week then, too. Anything to try to get some movement from them one way or the other.Navyhornguy wrote:I called the admissions office and asked them if I could submit a "Why UVA" essay (I'd only been UR for about a week though). I sent them an updated resume last week, also seemed happy to accept it.Navyhornguy wrote:I called the admissions office and asked them if I could submit a "Why UVA" essay (I'd only been UR for about a week though). So did you just write it up as a PDF titled "Why UVA?" and email it in to them?Navyhornguy wrote:I called the admissions office and asked them if I could submit a "Why UVA" essay (I'd only been UR for about a week though). It was in the same format that I did all of my essays: with my name, LSAC Account # and title ("Why UVA?" Essay in this case) as a header in the upper right corner. It was a one-page essay that I turned into a PDF and attached to the email.squirtlesquad14 wrote:So did you just write it up as a PDF titled "Why UVA?" and email it in to them?Navyhornguy wrote:I called the admissions office and asked them if I could submit a "Why UVA" essay (I'd only been UR for about a week though). Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Just got asked to interview with the Assistant Dean of Academic Services & Registrar (kind of a mouthful)!
I can only assume this is very good news... Has anyone else received a similar email? It also doesn't specify what kind of interview it is, but I'm assuming it's over the phone/skype?
