When do you think they will send out the next JS1 wave considering they have interviews slots for next week?

I haven't seen any reported movement from the interviewees in that js1 wave, which was a fairly large one.RedColossus wrote:Congrats to all accepted, and sorry to those who got dinged. To those of us continuing in purgatory, have a drink.
As a 12/3 interviewer, I'm hopefully seeing that those who did get in with later JS1s had like crazy hugh numbers (auto-admits), whereas those who got in today who had been "passed over" with earlier JS1s have numbers closer to the medians and 75ths. I'm trying to extrapolate from this that not hearing back is still not a terrible sign for those like me, and that subsequent waves will hopefully reach those of us passed over who weren't auto admits but have a halfway decent chance of getting in.
Thoughts?
So maybe it's a batch system? I don't know. Hopefully we'll hear back tomorrow.

Just woke up to a JS2!! (Asia time). So excited I can barely get on with my day. It came via email (with additional personal email from JS!
) for international concerned peeps.
LSAT at 75th (retake), GPA below 25th. Applied late September, interviewed late November. Was waitlisted last cycle.
Good luck to all those dinged! Hope my numbers give waiters some hope. 加油!

I interviewed around then too. Certainly hope you're right. JS1s were dinged today too though, who I think have numbers closer to the medians. So for the past few hours I alternated between checking my call log in anticipation to refreshing my email in a panic lol.RedColossus wrote:Congrats to all accepted, and sorry to those who got dinged. 175/3.87 with no JS1, super kjd...how bleak is it? Complete since late October, no movement of any kind. Anyone else in a similar position?

Ah well there goes that theory. It stills seems like there was proportionately very little movement on the early December JS1 crowd for whatever reason. Congratulations by the way!fra wrote:I interviewed on 12/3 and was accepted today. Same boat, went complete 10/22. Have gotten admitted to most of the T14 (got a great email from Chicago today!) but I haven't received a JS1 invite. Does anyone know what the prospects are for those who haven't received a JS1 yet?175/3.87 with no JS1, super kjd...how bleak is it? Complete since late October, no movement of any kind. I wouldn't count yourself out yet, especially with the weirdness of this cycle. But they are moving further away from K-JDs on the whole.irontryad wrote:175/3.87 with no JS1, super kjd...how bleak is it? Complete since late October, no movement of any kind. Anyone else in a similar position?

similar numbers here, also identify with (and will from now on steal) "super k-jd"irontryad wrote:175/3.87 with no JS1, super kjd...how bleak is it? Complete since late October, no movement of any kind. Anyone else in a similar position?

Damn, really? What's your source for them moving further away? I was under the impression (at least based on sources like JS's interview) that they were intending to hold K-JD's at around 25% of the class.Nonconsecutive wrote:I wouldn't count yourself out yet, especially with the weirdness of this cycle. Great to see a re-applicant whose fortunes have changed this cycle - congrats! Do you mind sharing roughly what time the e-mail was sent? I'm curious to know when it came in relation to the calls for future waves.romanesque wrote:Just woke up to a JS2!! (Asia time). So excited I can barely get on with my day. Also really sorry to jaws and butseriously (and others) for the rejections today
It's honestly so shocking and strange for them to be rejecting post-JS1 at this point in the cycle - and we hadn't even seen non-JS1 rejections yet either. Sorry!

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
What's the average wait time between Submit & Complete? Complete and JS1? Or is it just a crapshoot? Sitting here waiting for my status checker to change to complete, slowly going insane.
Submitted first week of Jan, so perhaps I'm being a little lot ridiculous.

Thanks. 10 days, give or take a little, from average submit to complete. Guessing/hoping that is skewed data (faster for earlier applicants).

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Alright, so here's a bit of analysis from today's events.
In total, we have had 13 JS1 waves and 2 JS2 waves. The following is the amount of people within each JS1 wave who has received a JS2. I'm doing this by interview invitation date rather than actual interview because this data is accessible and there shouldn't be too much difference for people within the same wave (1-2 weeks maximum).
Oct 27: 5 of 10 (10 JS1s were reported in this wave, and 5 have now reported JS2s)
Oct 31: 4 of 5
Nov 3: 4 of 7
Nov 10: 6 of 12
Nov 14: 3 of 4
Nov 24: 1 of 14
Dec 4: 2 of 5
Dec 12: 2 of 4
Dec 15: 1 of 5
Dec 24: 0 of 16
Jan 6: 0 of 2
Jan 8: 0 of 10
Of the 18 JS2s reported today, 13 had JS1 invitations in Oct/Nov, and 5 had JS1 invitations in Dec.
So, HLS hasn't reached the Dec 24th wave onwards (people who interviewed after the holidays), and only barely have started with Nov 24th onwards, although there were a few acceptances for the stellar candidates within the early Dec interview invites.

You can make that 1 of 15 for the Nov. 24th wave. Strange. I hope we see some more (strictly positive) movement on that batch tomorrow.pylon wrote:Alright, so here's a bit of analysis from today's events.

You can make it 2 of 6 for the Dec. 4 wave. Got my JS1 then, interview on 12/16 and still waiting to hear. LSAT/GPA @/above medians.

You're doing God's work. Also - I only just added my JS1 to the spreadsheet, so there's 3 of us on Jan 6 now (not that that means anything for your analysis).pylon wrote:Alright, so here's a bit of analysis from today's events.
