Also, someone should PM RoyalKHM and ask them if they received their admissions today or if they just updated LSN today. For science. :D
They seem to suggest on their profile that they got it on Sunday.
lol, well that would have required me to actually read the profile. Thx for checking it out

No. There should be a few more acceptances based on the trends of the last few years and the wait list hasn't even come out yet.

I wasn't really saying it based on anything in particular I am actually quite unsure as of right now haha. Don't mean to start a panic

No worries. Yes chances are if you haven't heard back you will be rejected. But chances are if you have heard back yet... you've been rejected. They should accept more people this week (but there are a ton of denials to go, obviouisly and a small WL too).

I've been really happy with how transparent Yale has been, especially compared to Stanford and other schools that take forever without a peep.

Still waiting for the hammer to fall...

the weekend made me really pessimistic. I figure they don't give bad news on the weekend, so I can't even view the lack of news on the wknd from a 'no news is good news' perspective. It's more like, "no news is a lower probability of good news in days to come, cause a few spaces just went to deserving candidates." happy for you guys, but man does it suck to have made it this far without a ding but now feel almost certain that one is coming.

Yeah, I just had to tell the Army to start the paperwork rolling for Harvard. If Yale comes through last minute, then there's probably still time to reverse things, but I have other deadlines to meet and do not have the freedom to wait forever. I'd still be satisfied to be the last guy in Yale's class, but the waiting has reached a point of being ridiculous.

I think for people who have not heard back yet, we are probably all through faculty review and we've all gotten two 4's and a 3. All that remains is for someone (and I'm not sure who does this) to rank us and give us A, W, or R. I'm not sure if, at this point, it's based on merit or if it's based on "rounding out the class."

"Well, we don't have any science majors, grab two science major 11's. We also need a military dude, someone from finance, a Senator's kid, and two red heads."

I've had similar thoughts, which is why every time someone with similar interests, stats or background to me gets in I prepare for disappointment some more. lol, the bright side is you've got the military factor. Me, I'm one of those non K-JDs who hasn't done anything especially amazing between the hyphen and the J. Interesting to me, but doesn't stand out next to serving our country in uniform, being a redhead, etc.

This makes me more depressed. I would rather not have a shot at all then be this close.

4/4/3, I thought, meant you almost always get in. 3/3/4 was when it gets more complicated?

How could you possibly know that? I know Asha is transparent with her info, but not that transparent.

It says, "All applicants who receive a 12 (straight 4s) and most who receive an 11 (two 4s and a 3) are admitted."

Yep. That's what I was basing my comment off of. I believe she's said something similar in a different post as well. YLS is remarkably transparent.

It doesn't expressly say no one under 11 gets in but I would make that assumption.

+1. Personally, I think that there are still non-borderline dings to come but I like the line of reasoning anyway and so will believe it.
