Yeah, I remember last year all too well - loooots of reserves in March/April. I just think it's interesting if no 172+ got reserved today because it does seem to suggest some concern about the LSAT median.
did they reserve anyone with 172 + this early last year though? I feel like HLS is the only school so far who have dinged people with median numbers
not sure because this was around the time i applied last year lol. i got reserved in march iirc.

This is probably premature (and likely wrong) but from what I can tell on LSN no 17Xs got reserved except for one with a <25th GPA. Dat LSAT 25/50 protection maybe?

Again, probably premature but interesting nonetheless

Quick question. My gpa just jumped to a 3.90 (3.88 when I applied). Can I tell them to hold my application until they receive the transcript update?

Reserved. Was fully expecting a rejection so this is okay with me. 3.69/167. Complete early December

So I'm clear, it is neither inherently a bad or good thing that I did not receive a reserve email today?

According to last year, there's a big spike in WL around now, a steady but small trickle and then another big spike in April. Since you're a fall applicant I'd say you should be pleased to not be on today's WL. I would interpret it to mean you're still in the game. My guess would be the big April WL batch are January/February applicants. But, I really have no idea.

I actually don't think its about the submit dates. Rather, its more about the numbers. For example, it looks like most people reserved today had below median numbers. I bet the April wave will mostly contain people with median/above numbers who did not make the cut.

That's a good point. Ill look on last years LSN later today to see if I can figure it out. Lord knows I have nothing better to do.

Based on this (LinkRemoved), it ssems like good news to not be reserved (unless you're set to be dinged in a few days)? a bunch of WL's come out in April, a few rejections, and a bunch of acceptances in between.

From a very quick glance at lsn, it seems like those who were WL'd in the later April batch were those who submitted after December and/or had "competitive" numbers.

So if you didn't get WL'd this time around, it could mean you submitted later and/or are still in the running.

Have any of the people who were asked to send their fall grades heard anything back yet (acceptance/reserve)?

I've been unsubscribing from those emails for months now, and it's gotten better, but I still get them sometimes and freak out for a second or two.

First time posting here in this thread... reserved today (168 highest LSAT, 3.9 GPA). Complete a few weeks ago in January. Not liking the "sit tight til May" part of the email, but I guess I should be lucky I wasn't dinged?

+1 to all of this.
