Bracing for my WL/ding tomorrow, if they keep up with their Wed/Fri decisions pattern.

Come on CQ, I think you've still got some more magic in store this cycle...crumpledq wrote:Bracing for my WL/ding tomorrow, if they keep up with their Wed/Fri decisions pattern.

Based on your numbers, I definitely feel a bit better about my 1/12 to 1/30 update.danielhay11 wrote:Updated today from 1/12 to yesterday (1/30).

Don't count yourself out. With the reduced number of LSAT takers they need your LSAT score.crumpledq wrote:Bracing for my WL/ding tomorrow, if they keep up with their Wed/Fri decisions pattern.

Being serious... do you really thing Penn bundles candidates? My arm chair reading of the situation seems more random.... I did a little research on LSN and only about 2 in 10 were accepted who had decision dates 2/4 - 2/6 ( the basic timeframe I expect we'll be in)... I'm nervous. This is my first choice. I just want to be convinced that I'm not being a debbie downer.

FWIW, i don't think you can deduce anything from absolute dates, so to speak. I think the timing of things is pretty different than past years (fewer acceptances than at this time last year). So that doesn't do much to argue that you're in, but i definitely don't think you should feel like you're out based on the timing.XCanadian91 wrote:KevinP wrote:Based on your numbers, I definitely feel a bit better about my 1/12 to 1/30 update.danielhay11 wrote:Updated today from 1/12 to yesterday (1/30).

Updated to 1/31 sometime this afternoon. Ugh, I hope this is good news. I haven't heard anything since late December, I am going crazy.
They have accepted people with my numbers/lower, though, so here's hoping.

Re: Penn c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Pretty much this, but I do think they partially group candidates. Just based on trends that I've seen, a quick difference, e.g. 5 days, between UR dates typically signifies either an auto-admit or an auto-reject. As the difference in dates increases, the ultimate decision becomes unpredictable because, historically, the decisions included held, rejected, waitlisted, and accepted.cogitoergosum wrote:FWIW, i don't think you can deduce anything from absolute dates, so to speak. ETA: Don't read too much into it. You still have a good shot.
