On my status checker it reads "decision" but I can't get into the admitted students site. Damn.

FWIW I had an arrest last year that I'm sure hurt me. I've seen people with lesser numbers get in so don't give up hope.

I applied December 15th and still no e-mail. I wrote them the other day and they basically told me to be patient because they have too many apps this year.

My app went complete 12/15, and I received the "thanks for being patient/hold?" email a couple of days ago. Stats above both 75. Didn't write any supplementary essays.

This is probably the case only if the crime was egregious, a severe question of moral turpitude, and/or you didn't come across as completely honest in your addendum.

Their system updates once per day. It seems like even if you are admitted, dinged, or waitlisted during the course of the day it will not update until 6 AM the following day. This also applies to the admitted students website as well, so the list of admitted students that lets you in is only updated early in the morning by some computer.

Bottom line: Don't bother checking your Michigan status more than 1x per day.

I don't think any of those things apply but then again I'm not an adcomm, it's more so, imo, that with so many qualified candidates, why "risk" taking me, especially when my numbers are only at their medians.

Application submitted on 12/8, just got my status checker email. When I logged in, my app was already complete. Obviously, I immediately convinced myself this is a horrible sign.

I submitted my application on 12/6 and just got my status checker today. Mine was already complete too, so I don't think that's anything to worry about.

Pretty much everyone has a complete app by the time they get the status checker... don't worry about it.

Hey!! Thanks a lot for the congrats My parents got the package at home and like other acceptees, it apparently had a handwritten note from the dean which is an AMAZING touch (i'm so mad I didn't have them send stuff to my current address!). I got my status checker on 11/24. Now the real decision making comes - a good problem to have though. Gluck to those still waiting.

After that hold-like email it still means that someone (like myself) who got a status checker in mid-December might have a chance.

LSN is so unhelpful sometimes. For people with #s similar to mine (168/4.0) who went complete last year around the same time I did this year, I could get a decision as early as next week, or as late as March. FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU

Michigan is probably my top choice from my realistic schools, too (except for my hail mary apps to NYU and Chicago) so I really want to hear back so I can schedule a visit. Somebody tell me that it will all be okay.
