It took trial and error for sure, and the way I like my coffee to taste might be different than y'all, but I know how I like my coffee and I've yet to find anything better at a cafe. And if I did it still wouldn't justify spending the money on it.benwyatt wrote:I think cold brew is simple to make, sure, but I also think it's really easy to screw it up and make it overly acidic or too bitter or even make it sour a little bit.Generally wrote:Perhaps you are crazy good at it, but some places almost specialize in cold brews. I have had some that I can't see anyone beating at home. I guess if you had the right beans, freshly roasted, and all that other jazz you could make it pretty good as well, though. The Abyss wrote:
Why do you figure that? Out of all the methods of making coffee, cold brew is by far the easiest to make. It isn't rocket science and I have a specific ratio that I'm keen to.
ETA: Not saying you did any of those things, Abyss, just stirring the pot
I like to make my own food and drink and rarely go out for either.

Seekabrew shows what beers are distributed in the state, and it's a nice list. I could see myself making fairly regular trips from NYC to Vermont for Hill Farmstead, Lawson's Finest Liquids and Alchemist brews.urbanist11 wrote:Always a great questionThe Abyss wrote:The question I want to know is how is the beer distribution in NYC?I would suspect it's amazing, considering NYC is a massive market

Personally that selection, while big, leaves a lot to be desired. And I know it's NYC, but just lol at those prices.benwyatt wrote:Yeah, there's great beer selection here.urbanist11 wrote:Always a great questionThe Abyss wrote:The question I want to know is how is the beer distribution in NYC?I would suspect it's amazing, considering NYC is a massive market

Not my favorite bar to go to, but their selection is unrivaled.

You forgot Magic Hat Brewery. They're in South Burlington. The Abyss wrote:Seekabrew shows what beers are distributed in the state, and it's a nice list. Bell's Brewery is one of my favorites.urbanist11 wrote:Isn't that like a 6 hour drive though lol. To be honest I think some of the best beer distribution would be Ann Arbor. Michigan has a ton of great breweries. The Abyss wrote:Seekabrew shows what beers are distributed in the state, and it's a nice list. Ok, not fairly regularly, but Hill Farmstead is arguably one of the best breweries in the world.urbanist11 wrote:Isn't that like a 6 hour drive though lol.
