Ugggh. Really depressed that I didn't/haven't get/got a call today ...
Maybe more calls tomorrow?
One can hope.
EDIT: Congrats again to those who did get/have got the call today. Don't mean to be sour.

Not sure if I should be upset that I still do not have my JS1, or happy that I avoided the first wave of dings...
Congrats to everyone who no longer has to worry with such philosophical nonsense after today!

Anyone else with a Nov JS1 still waiting? Sorry, I'd go through the thread but I was at work all day and there's a lot to cover. Low 170s, high GPA. I'm feeling very sad.
Regardless, congratulations to all the well-deserved acceptances! You guys all have spectacular scores. You probably aren't surprised. You should be proud.

Very sorry to hear about the dings today. I'm sure all of you have a lot of good news coming very soon.
For those still waiting, this is only the second round of JS2s -- they have to admit probably another 700-750 people (figuring 50 in the first wave and 100-150 today), so hang in there

Dang. I literally got this job so I don't have too much time to think about this. What did I do all day? Think about this. My coworker kept asking me why I looked so depressed/anxious because I took a look at the thread at the break and realized there was a wave.hillz wrote:

Wow I am super shocked by the dings for the JS1s. Giving you guys my condolences. I'm sure you'll have a good cycle regardless though.

Do we think they might send out more JS2s tomorrow?

Yeah I'm on the commuter's train (8:15am here) but I'll try to grab non alcoholic beer during lunch time and pretend I'm enjoying the caribbean beach view drinking mojito to stop my nerves from giving me hypertensionhillz wrote:Definitely possible.greentea123 wrote:Do we think they might send out more JS2s tomorrow?

Congrats to all the JS2s! Also, sorry about the dings; seems like a very competitive pool
Bit of an off-topic question right now, but does anyone know if Harvard would request grades from a KJD's winter semester before admitting them? I suppose this could only apply to people who were waitlisted since those grades could only ever be available after late April.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Congrats to all accepted, and sorry to those who got dinged. To those of us continuing in purgatory, have a drink.
As a 12/3 interviewer, I'm hopefully seeing that those who did get in with later JS1s had like crazy hugh numbers (auto-admits), whereas those who got in today who had been "passed over" with earlier JS1s have numbers closer to the medians and 75ths. I'm trying to extrapolate from this that not hearing back is still not a terrible sign for those like me, and that subsequent waves will hopefully reach those of us passed over who weren't auto admits but have a halfway decent chance of getting in.
Thoughts?
