Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
Last cycle, LSAC made roughly $10,500,000 in LSAC fees alone.
ETA: That was based on the assumption that fee was $28 last year. And I guessed 375k applications based on this graph:http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/data/ ... ear-volume: There probably is a more accurate way to find out but meh.

Ah okay, well then my guess is even less accurate. Either way - lots and lots of moneyhereisonehand wrote:the fee last year was $25 I believepylon wrote:Last cycle, LSAC made roughly $10,500,000 in LSAC fees alone.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
On LSAC fees, to be fair, applications have dropped substantially in the last few years, as we all know -- I doubt that has translated to anywhere near as great a reduction in their costs as it has in their revenue. If that's true, it's not surprising they need to up their income per applicant to cover the deficit.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
I wonder what correlation exists between higher report costs and lower number of apps seen by schools. Anecdotally I know I would have sent more than 10 out if the reports weren't that expensive. On the same note I have an LSAC fee waiver and haven't been forced to pay the school's application fees.LetsGoMets wrote:On LSAC fees, to be fair, applications have dropped substantially in the last few years, as we all know -- I doubt that has translated to anywhere near as great a reduction in their costs as it has in their revenue. I had fee waivers from most of the schools I applied to but my application fees still ended up being ~$500 due to that nasty $28 fee report.RCSOB657 wrote:I wonder what correlation exists between higher report costs and lower number of apps seen by schools.
