IN! I had an "interview complete" date change today so I've been waiting. Really excited to see STL (probably April)

IN via e-mail. Interview yesterday. Only checked my inbox 234059 times today. . . .
Not a word about scholarships in the first e-mail, which I hope doesn't bode poorly for me. Either way its great to get accepted.

Nah...I'm less than 5 miles away and they didn't even consider me for oneCookieDough wrote:BlackCanary wrote:At least you got the "we're sending your app over to the scholly people" email.scotth724 wrote:I'm scared that no travel stipend for me spells bad news for my anticipated scholly... :/
Though all apps go to them, so I'm sure it's meaningless....right?
How far away are you? Looks like it's based on distance.
False. I'm in LA. I'd assume that's pretty far away lol

Congrats to today's admits!! Hope you get enough money to make WUSTL even more attractive/viable!
Seems like Wednesday is a new decision day on top of the normal Friday waves. Nice.

So how have you all been requesting travel stipends? Will I get an email about this? Maybe jumping the gun a little bit I only got accepted like an hour ago...

Reverse splitters seem to be getting good money.pauly_biegler wrote:how have they been on scholarships this cycle? Brutal or alright? and does this school negotiate much?
High LSATs seem to be getting lowballed.

Please keep saying beautiful things like this. Pauly, wustl seems to be good with negotiating, at least later in the cycle.Attax wrote:Reverse splitters seem to be getting good money.pauly_biegler wrote:how have they been on scholarships this cycle? This. Everyone reports full rides didn't come out until June/July. DOn't be surprised if you get lowballed, but ride it out!scotth724 wrote:Please keep saying beautiful things like this. This. Also to answer your earlier question about the stipend, mine came a week after the acceptance e-mail. Don't know if that is the norm.Attax wrote:Reverse splitters seem to be getting good money.pauly_biegler wrote:how have they been on scholarships this cycle? Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
It appears distinct from peer schools since it feeds into an assortment of markets. UT, UCLA, Vandy, BC and BU (a few others as well?) place significantly into their local markets or surrounding areas. Perhaps it's more of a 'why not?' app than its peers because it isn't a regional, so it gets more applicants from all over the place. It's only speculation.sublime wrote:matthewfsq wrote:>900 offer but <200 matri... striking proportion... so many admits choose not to attend WUSTL?
1) WUSTL doesn't really YP.
2) It is in kind of a weird place, where it is outside the T14 and to some extent trying to poach applicants from lower T14, a good number I imagine end up going to the T14 (or even Vandy, UT, or UCLA).
Those are my guesses at least.
Although matriculation rate is not something I would really worry about when trying to pick a school.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
