So, I wondering if Columbia is going to give out more Butler and Hamiltons in order to perhaps grab a solid 3rd place spot over Chicago.

IN! Kind of shocked, honestly. 170/3.9x really average softs, if not below average, but I'm not complaining. So thrilled. NJ btw.

Not sure we have the cash, tbh. Columbia's own David Rubenstein has yet to arrive on the scene. When he or she shows tho, yeah, HLS we're comin' for ya.Theopliske8711 wrote:Lol. 4th.cotiger wrote:Brutal HLS trolling.Theopliske8711 wrote:So, I wondering if Columbia is going to give out more Butler and Hamiltons in order to perhaps grab a solid 3rd place spot over Chicago.

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Congrats to all Thursday admits!!
Any other splitters starting to feel uneasy about the reverse-splitter love showing up on LSN?? Granted, a majority of those admitted are more of those "obvious" admits (>75th for both), but for those where the admission committee dipped, seems like they have favored GPA over LSAT. In other words, since the big wave started on 1/24, there have been 12 admits at ≤50th LSAT, while only 6 admits at ≤50th GPA.
In other OTHER words, I'm getting anxious and reading WAY too much into a statistically insignificant sample.

If today the postman leaves no blue envelope...this weekend/time until next wave will be a long odyssey of obsessive speculation and neurotic behavior on the level of something from Kafka.

I'm late, but it looks like 15 Hamiltons and 103 Butlers/other half-tuition scholarships.yomisterd wrote:Question: How many Hamiltons are offered per cycle?
Accidentally clicked on the ABA report link while I was prepping for my interview, and it has more interesting numbers than you'd think. http://web.law.columbia.edu/sites/defau ... report.pdf

That's not the number offered, though; it's the number matriculated.cway wrote:I'm late, but it looks like 15 Hamiltons and 103 Butlers/other half-tuition scholarships.yomisterd wrote:Question: How many Hamiltons are offered per cycle?

Numbers! Alright! TLS Tea leaves time!
15 Hamiltons + 103 Butlers = 118
Entering class size = 430
118 / 430 = 27%
So if you're above both 75ths...

I am pretty certain based on the report that those are totals for the school, not per class. It seems that 9.2% of the school is on half through full scholarship.Sirs_LMNOPQRS wrote:Numbers! Alright! TLS Tea leaves time!

That seems somewhat low to me. But having said that, the 27% seems pretty high. Hmm.Kobaine51 wrote:I am pretty certain based on the report that those are totals for the school, not per class.
