That is legitimately terrible. I would probably cry.

I was so upset that I just slept for another four hours, woke up a bit past noon and then posted my terrible teribble morning on TLS.

I think somebody asked for this earlier. From the website:
The law school uses a rolling admissions process, acting upon applications throughout the admissions season as they are completed. However, some applications are held until the committee has reviewed the entire applicant pool. This second review occurs in April, at which time the class will be filled. (A small number of applications will be held for possible use in filling vacancies that may occur during the summer.)
The Office of Admissions will make every effort to send applicants a first response (accept, deny, or wait list) by April 30.

Okay, I just got a 650 area code phone call, and I thought "Maybe my DLS means an acceptance???" It was a vietnamese lady looking for a psychic reading. Truestory.

Been a little over a month and I still have yet to receive my status checker email. They sent me the email over a month ago saying they received my application but never followed up with the status checker email with the link. Is this normal? Or is this supposed to be like some kind of auto-reject? I am kind of freaking out here.
And before you ask, yes I checked my spam folders. I check them every day

They never sent me one either so I called to ask if they would (they did). At this point though, you may as well wait until you get the call or the letter.

Got my letter today after going DLS (and calling to confirm rejection) on Monday. I'm going to take it as consolation that it was signed by hand rather than having a printed signature per my Yale rejection letter.

For a while I didn't even know Stanford's area code, so I did the same freakout any time I saw a west-coast-looking area code...

Thanks for finding this. So everyone who's been passed over will have to wait until all the applications are reviewed? Deadline was a month ago; wonder when they finish the initial review. From LSN it looks like some people last year were given non-linear decisions in March.

Wait wut? She wanted you to give her the psychic reading? Like you pick up and get "hello is this the psychic hotline"? How good is your
Miss Cleo impression?

Sorry to all DLSers, that sucks. Still waiting here, early Nov submit.
Glad to know the letter is really signed; I did not like the Yale reject letter either. Just a short "sorry you weren't good enough," no "we were impressed but no" or a "think about transferring."

So....I guess I'll be cautiously happy that I'm at 11/24 still.

Im at 11/13 -> not optimistic exactly, but it is a non-negative sign to have not been denied yet.

So.... for those of us with earlier complete dates, are we almost certainly WL?
It seems from last year's data that people like us were waitlisted in late April and heard back in August
Probably false hope, but I wish some of us September-mid November applicants could receive good news before April

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
