There you go.If an applicant is not admitted under Early Decision, his or her application will be rolled over into the regular decision pool.

They have a 172 and a 2.61. That's a tough GPA.blue_c wrote:lol. Yeah, sounds pretty clear on the faq that they just roll everyone over (followed by a quick reject?). I haven't been following the thread, so apologies if this is redundant, but just wanted to stop by and say I got accepted with numbers over both 75ths and no Why Michigan?, so it doesn't seem like they're doing yield protect this year.
Good luck everyone!

Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
yeah I know, thats a nice way of saying its a horrible GPA. I have no expectations of getting into Michigan, but my purpose was to first find out whether they roll EVERYONE that didnt get admitted ED into RD or if people that have zero chance get rejected right away. If its the former it tells me nothing, if its the latter it would make me feel better about my chances at the GW's and the WUSTL's of the world. Unfortunately u people's helpful (if snarky) responses tell me I can't read anything into it. Not feeling good about this cycle.JoeMo wrote:They have a 172 and a 2.61. I think you've got your panties in a bunch and I don't mean to get into a cyber argument. What I was saying was that your stats were not the 140 and 2.0 you were alluding to because then you'd have no shot at any decent school unless you also happened to cure cancer or something.benito wrote: yeah I know, thats a nice way of saying its a horrible GPA. The 2.6 GPA is tough but not undoable, especially with a 172 LSAT score. I think it more depends on what your transcript says about you and how solid your addenda are. If you started off with a shitty freshman year and then made up for it the last three years in some way and had an awesome senior year, then I can see an adcomm appreciating the fact that you're maturing. If you have some WE or you're a single mother (sorry don't know if you're a dude) then they might understand that you had other preoccupations. Whatever it is, just make sure that your addenda are solid. If you didn't submit addenda, then you really should take the time now to write up some really solid ones and get them in.
Best of luck. I'm not on here to criticize anyone or to tell you that what you want can't be achieved. I'm all for you pursuing whatever it is you want to pursue. However, you shouldn't think that everyone is out to getchu or have an attitude with everyone because you feel your chances are dismal.
Also - to your question, they roll everyone. Mostly, they roll everyone left over when the summer class is full.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but does 11/22 refer to when you went complete or did your status update to decision on 11/22?

You know what Michigan? I don't need you and your red text! I checked ASW obsessively for the last time today. NYU is mine. COME WHAT MAY

Just withdrew from Michigan via email. I'm sad about giving up this great option but I hope it'll help someone who's been waiting for a decision. Good luck everyone!
