Still seeking others who received the hold e-mail on 1/27... doesn't seem like there are many (any) of us on here. Reading through last years stuff didnt show many either, though I remain optimistic because the ad hoc hold thread with all of the >10 people on it seemed to mostly get good results.

I got a hold email on 1/18, and I believe one other person mentioned they did as well ITT.

Just took a look... Wow, I hope we don't have to wait til the end of March to hear anything.

I didn't submit any optional essays with my app, so I sent a Why Penn last week.
Edit: Did you get any confirmation that your LOCI was received? I heard nothing.

Tomorrow I'll hit the 12 weeks and I got an update today... Seems like a rejection or waitlist is coming

They tend to release most decisions on Fridays, but they've also released some decisions on Wednesdays and perhaps some other days. I do think we have a good chance of seeing a decision either this Wednesday or this Friday. Let's hope good news for the both of us!

Yikes. Make that five, except I thought I had something of a shot (173/3.42). I suppose it's silly to conclude based on this that I don't. But still.

Pretty sure the day you go under review first is based on date, not numbers. They've gone pretty chronologically. The other URs seem to indicate to some extent when you might get a decision, but not necessarily what the decision will be. Don't lose hope because you're in a "reach" group!
