i feel like a neglected bastard stepchild or something.
was gonna say, i feel like i'm back in daycare, and all the other kids have been picked up, the daycare has shut down, the adults all left, and i'm alone sitting on the porch steps waiting to be picked up, watching the dark thunderstorm clouds in the distance slowly roll in towards me
bahhhaahahahahaa... that analogy is win.

Here, I'll spoil the surprise. ~"We are bogged down with an unexpectedly high increase in applications (over 30%!) and we are trying to process these as quickly as possible. We are sorry for the delay, we are doing all we can."

Well then to make things interesting, he could also add a touch of frankness and sarcasm to his e-mail's tone. That way, he can elicit a colorful response which we can all get lolz over.

I don't think he'll get a response no matter what he writes.

The great majority of us waiting will not hear until Friday and/or by the end of next week. Resume the intensity of your expectations around this time next week, if you still haven't heard.

In! Finally, a California school accepts me. This kinda softens the blow of the back-to-back WL's from USC and UCLA yesterday and today. Hopefully, there's still some money left for me.

Oh shit, my super bad, I checked the status checker in the sun light and I couldn't tell that the "Decision has been mailed" was a link to the actual decision letter. Which to my infinite surprise and delight I am in!! Good luck to all those still waiting!

Sounds to me like the people with middle of the road numbers that applied awhile back are still waiting while they sift threw the applicants that applied later with higher numbers and offer them acceptances.
