Nearly four months of waiting for a rejection email that has the nerve to contain the following line:

"but I thought you might appreciate speed over formality"

Hey, UVA, **** you. I'm sure U. Chicago will leave me way better off in the long run anyway. Oh well. Good luck to those still waiting, and to those who were WL or rejected, always keep those heads up. Btw, stats are 167, 3.5x URM. Sent in Why UVA as well as LOCI email directly to Dean Dugas a few months later.

I also just got the e-mail. First rejection...stings a little. Trying to make myself feel better by reminding myself I only wasted $12 lol.

Stats: 161, 3.7, URM, no LOCI, no why UVA.

Rejected after being UR since mid-October. My status never changed once, until right after I got the email. I expected it, but still, come on.

Just got waitlisted. Must say, with my numbers I was kind of expecting a ding so this isn't necessarily Bad news.

Damn tough break I'm sorry to hear that. I thought I MAY have had a chance...but if you didn't get in I had no shot.

I never thought I'd be this disappointed because of a ding from UVA... :?

dinged also. 164/3.52 URM...honestly was at least hoping for WL. kinda disappointed but probably just cause this is the first response ive gotten in my cycle. hope this isnt setting the tone for the rest of it

Rejected 2/8. Complete since 10/22. 168/3.84, no Why UVA or LOCI. No disappointment here.

Anyone else have a date that far back?

Until 2 days ago, mine was 12/1. I'm starting to understand why October/November people were getting so huffy a month ago when the rest of us were getting impatient.
