Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Got the hold e-mail. My #s are above both of Michigans' 75th percentiles. Kind of a slap in the face.
But oh well. Got accepted into Penn today.

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
The status checker updates every day or so except Sunday, so the Last Updated date reflects that. Those with the 1/11, 1/9 etc dates all had their status change from Complete to Decision...questions wrote:I haven't been paying much attention to the status checker until today. I am "Complete," but the "Last Updated" field has today's date in it. Does the date update daily/weekly, or only when something happens? Also, for those with 1/11 dates, did your status change to "Decision" or did it stay at "Complete"? Thanks for the info, and good luck to everyone.

Hold email here, too. I'm pretty stoked that it's not an outright ding/WL... LSAT<25th, GPA at 75th, no Why Mich.
Wonder how long it will be for a decision, though.

Hold email as well. I was expecting a WL/rejection pretty upfront, so I hope this is a good sign....and not the form letter that it seems to have been after going out to everyone else.

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
what's with this quasi-hold email? If you're going to YP me (which by the way is a dick move) just do it already. What are you accomplishing with this nonsense.

I think she meant she hopes this isn't just some form letter like it seemed to be earlier, but actually a meaningful and sincere gesture...or something like that...Kakarot wrote:You didn't get the same letter people posted earlier in this thread?Pearalegal wrote:Hold email as well. hey guys, does anyone know what kind of postal service does U of M use? I just want to calculate how long does it take for the letter to arrive to my address (which is in Toronto, Canada)

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
I just got the 'your file has been reviewed at least once by our staff' email. Perhaps they sent this out to pre-empty questions about how long it might take for a decision?
FWIW, I have WL/reject stats (albeit with a strong LSAT), so I'm certainly not a YP.

Yes. While I hope it actually means I have a shot, I think...after almost everyone and their Mom has gotten it, what it really is is just a form letter that went out to everyone who applied early and hasn't gotten an answer yet.starstruck393 wrote:I think she meant she hopes this isn't just some form letter like it seemed to be earlier, but actually a meaningful and sincere gesture...or something like that...Kakarot wrote:You didn't get the same letter people posted earlier in this thread?Pearalegal wrote:Hold email as well.
