Finally got the email on my WL. Thanks NU you were officially the last school to NOTIFY me of my decision, and only a week since the point you made the decision.

Aaaaaaaand my hold->waitlist via email just now. Reminded me of the first time I opened my Northwestern letter. I remember the butterflies, then the tears . . . this time, I felt nothing.

Not sure if I'm going to ride it out. Sent my deposit to Michigan, and super excited!

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Just put down my seat deposit at Illinois :-(

Still haven't heard *anything* from Northwestern - complete 2/4.

to people staying on waitlist, are you sending an LOCI with your WL response form? the waitlist letter says 'you may wish to submit, via email, a statement that indicates your level of interest in Northwestern' I just sent an LOCI (#2 after my interview, i wrote the 1st right after hold decision in Feb) a week or two ago and am unsure whether to try to write another one (i feel like it'd be babbling cuz i have nothing new to write about) or just write a short email denoting how NW is my top choice and that I would sacrifice small animals for an offer of admission. Thoughts?

congrats musicnut! were you on hold? by when do you have to provide a decision?

Thanks, Miranda! I reeeeally hope you get in off the waitlist; sometimes these decisions just seem downright random. Yes, I was on hold from 3/26 until yesterday after going complete 2/17 (application received mid-December). I have to give them $750 and a commitment by May 12.

Waitlisted today. This one kind of burns, but I wasn't expecting much because I have no WE.

LOCI soon, probably. That said, NU would need to give me scholly $$ to sway me away from Duke.

I'm in the same situation but am writing another LOCI. Quite frankly, we can't expect them to remember what we wrote in our first LOCIs so I am reiterating the main points from my first. Better to write another and give yourself the best chance of standing out, I think.

Best of luck.

WL today as well. They pretty much say unlikely to get anything but loans at his point and a 4 yr program without $$ at NU is way to expensive for me. I will be withdrawing. Besides I think my husband might go even more crazy than me over not knowing where I will end up in the fall. He has to make a decision about his job. At least with UCI he can keep his job. We can make that work.

Good luck to those of you who are riding it out. Hope you get in!

Hold to WL today. (175 and 2.98). This is no news for me. Hold was just another word for WL anyway.

Good question, and totes germane to what someone was saying earlier about 4 years without monayz. I also started having second thoughts about the JD/LLM (not that it matters, since my ass was waitlisted).

Also, isn't there any chance other people turning down schollys would free up more money? Or is that going to go to people who are already in and waiting for money?

No, because they give out more money than they actually have, planning for a certain percentage of admits to enroll.

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd check in here - complete 2/11, just got my waitlist letter dated today. 3.0/170, military and corporate WE. NW is my first choice, but I'm also riding a wl at Penn and UCLA.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
