Does Chicago send hold e-mails or anything similar?

Not that we know of, but WLs are via email. First ones went out last Friday.

I guess I might be on a de-facto hold, since Nov and Dec people are going to get their decisions today or tomorrow. I switched to 1/29 last week but no change this week at all.

Crackberry, you think I should send them grades?

Still waiting for someone who was complete in November or December to step forward and say they didn't get the 2/4 update. Barring that revelation, I think it is safe to say this isn't just an acceptance batch. The UR 2/4 is an indicator of when you went complete more than whether or not you'll be accepted. There are far too many questionable numbers in this batch (including my own) for it to be all acceptances.

I was complete in December and didn't get the 2/4 update...then again I haven't gone UR yet, so I doubt that's helpful.

I was honestly thinking I had a shot at a waitlist, so I was very slightly surprised..

Oh well, I'm sending this letter back in time to myself before I started my first go at college

Also, I am pretty surprised mockstar got dinged and not WLed. One would think that an early JR1 applicant would at least get WLed at Chicago.

According to the online chat today, admitted students will start seeing financial aid offers tomorrow as well. It'll be a busy day in the office for Dean Perry et. al.

Well I think they probably have the scholly offers set up and it will just be like a mass email? I dont know why I think that though

Well, can't say I'm surprised. Looks like this will be a mixed batch, although I'd be surprised if it wasn't predominantly acceptances. Oh well, here's hoping we end up in the happy group!

I think we will likely see some waitlists tomorrow in addition to acceptances. A lot of splitters seem to have been updated, and my numbers are certainly iffy... Right at median for last year's class on both lsat and gpa. During the last wave of decisions, were wl emails sent the same day as acceptance phone calls?

The last wave was all WLs and those have been the only WLs thus far.

It's almost definite that not all the UR 2/4s are acceptances. The 2/4 UR basically means you went into committee review which is where they will decide in, out, WL.

At least, IMO.

i've been 'under review' twice though... 1/13, now 2/4.

Uh oh, mine updated to today's date. Lol, I fear for those in my batch, because I'm not a good batch-mate at these top schools, or so it seems from past experience. 167, 3.5x URM. Went UR beginning of November, updated 2/29, and now today. I don't expect anything but a WL or rejection tomorrow, so I guess it won't hurt that much. Plus, it would make an acceptance that much sweeter.

So I just reviewed the the thread, and I can say with complete confidence that there is not a chance in hell all 2/4 updates will be accepted. I also noticed however that there are 3 or 4 people with the exact dates I have.

Complete 11/12 -> UR 1/13 -> UR 2/4.

These are almost similar to mine 11/12-> UR 12/31 -> UR 1/13 -> UR 2/4.

Looking on LSN from last year, URM's with my numbers were mostly waitlisted. None with my numbers or higher were rejected, but it took an extra 2 or 3 points to get accepted.
