They don't send decisions via email. You can go to your DLDS (https://www.law.northwestern.edu/form/A ... /login.cfm). Good luckHonestlyThough wrote:are you guys finding out via email or...?

Lol just got my acceptance (online decision letter). Will definitely withdraw since NU requires essays to be considered for scholarship money...chandhi wrote:Why does Northwestern release decisions so late? I did actually get mine via email too...first I got an email saying my decision letter was ready, then I got an email saying I was admitted, then I got the scholarship email. There was about a half hour lag between the first two and another ten minutes until the next one.intlbr wrote:They don't send decisions via email. Don't do that! They are 2 500-word essays. I think I did them in less than an hour. Why not try?goldenbear2020 wrote:Lol just got my acceptance (online decision letter). I disagree. They were the worst essays I've ever done. Took me 3 weeks. Definitely don't make the effort. (I'm still negotiating so it would leave more money for me)guybourdin wrote:Don't do that! It took me a night, and I spent ~2hrs on each essay. I thought that was pretty reasonable.TripleM wrote:I disagree. They were the worst essays I've ever done. Took me 3 weeks. Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I think the essay is a wonderful opportunity.
It gives you an opportunity to let NU why it is that you should be given some merit/need based awards. I think that this is one of the few opportunities in life where you get to advocate for yourself and gain so much at the risk of nothing (I assume the opportunity cost of writing 500 words is minimal). Can it be a deterrent for some? Sure. However, it you see this as another opportunity to bring home the big bucks, then you have so much to gain.
