I'm seriously considering Georgetown but hoping to negotiate with schools soon

I would recommend checking out the class threads page for GULC (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=258578). Someone mentioned that they called the office, and they said scholly offers are going to start coming out early this week.

Just got an offer - 20K. Why is the deadline so soon - April 1st?! And do you think its realistic to negotiate with them, with such a soon deadline?
Also, has anyone heard anything from their financial aid office?

I didn't receive a feel email, but I emailed them asking for money, and got an email on March 1st saying they received my merit request. Got an initial offer yesterday, albeit lower than I hoped...but that's what negotiating is for.

Hey all. Any idea what is the highest merit offer Georgetown hands out is? I've seen 120k, but I'm wondering if they go beyond that. Anyone here receive (or hear of someone who received) 135, 150, or full $$$$ ?

What about the lower end? Is 10k/year the smallest grant they give?
Also - the ABA 509 has their scholarship 25th percentile at 10,700... wtf is with the 700? just me or is that odd?

That is odd, but someone posted on the spreadsheet a similar number. I think it was like 12,7000

In my original email I did not specify a number and got an offer in the first wave. I don't know whether this was the right move or not, but just so you know that you don't have to give a specific number to get an offer.

Since they have a class size of 1 million people I'm sure you'll be fine!! (I'm hoping for the same thing, had alumni interview two weeks ago)
