Not quite as bad, UR about a month later and status has not changed since. GPA ~ median, LSAT > 75texasrangersjb wrote:Wow and I thought my 87 day wait was long. After they sent a really fancy embossed invitation to their open house, I figured the least I could do is answer the phone and give them a reason why I'd never step foot on their campus.fliptrip wrote:Bless you. If there's any justice in the world, UVA will call you, even if it is only on the basis of this one thing.squirtlesquad14 wrote:After they sent a really fancy embossed invitation to their open house, I figured the least I could do is answer the phone and give them a reason why I'd never step foot on their campus.fliptrip wrote:Bless you. Yah it was probably in poor taste to post that ITT. I get this and the C/O thread confused.Navyhornguy wrote:How do you think those of us waiting for a decision feel? At least you know you're in. Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Hey Everyone!
It's my first time posting here and I have a couple questions. I applied Binding Expedited on February 1st. I just went under my second review with my status date changed to today. The day after I applied, Dean Faulk sent a letter in the mail to my recommender (congressman) that was signed by him thanking him for his assessment of my ability. Is this a normal practice?
Lastly, are people admitted without an interview or is an interview a prerequisite to being admitted? UVA is my first choice, hence the binding decision.
Thanks for all your help!

I haven't heard of UVA thanking recommenders, but it is common practice at other schools (e.g. Georgetown).ryank1993 wrote:Hey Everyone!

It is my understanding that most people are interviewed, but it isn't necessary for admission. I wasn't interviewed and was admitted.

My guess would be that your recommender may have gotten that letter because of who he is.ryank1993 wrote:Hey Everyone!
