So I've been lurking on this thread for a while now and it looks like fun so I wanted to join in But in all seriousness, submitted 1/21, interviewed 1/26, and nothing since. I know it has only been a month, but is that normal seeing as they requested an interview day after I submitted?

I wouldn't let $100 or $200 sway you either way. I didn't get a stipend but got $$ so idk. Also sometimes they do lowball people and you are able to negotiate if you were expecting more.

Not to sound greedy/ungrateful, but does anyone know why they're being stingier this year with travel stipends? Poor return on investment the previous year? Any chance this newfound frugality extends to scholarship negotiations?

I know right. They told me they'd be happy to give me a stipend for accommodation but it's been a while now and I haven't heard back.

Any cheap options around campus for poor souls like me?

Those are the same exact dates as me, and I am in the same boat No worries! I was told a decision would be made my March.

Hi first-time poster, been lurking for a bit. Got my acceptance email last night, submitted 1/28. With the amount of posts on this thread, I'm going to assume that I'm asking a question that's already been answered, but there are just too many posts to read through soooo

If there was no mention of scholarship $$ in the email, should I assume I'm not getting any or do scholarship offers come separately in snail mail? (I'm above both medians)

On another note, I am going to lay off of TLS and this board in particular for a while. I am so proud of all you guys who've been admitted and gotten great scholly's, but I'm becoming a little too obsessive and anxious haha. If by any chance I get to go to ASW, I hope to see you all there for a little reunion!

I emailed the admissions office to confirm they had everything they needed (since I applied for one of the scholarships that had a deadline of February 1). They said they had all of the materials and that it was being reviewed. A little discouraging given that it seems like they have a pretty quick turnaround (like, HOURS in some cases) of asking people for interviews! But don't give up hope!

Another question about scholarship...

I was accepted to Wash U more than two months ago and still haven't heard anything about a scholarship offer, although two of my friends with similar stats received schollies just a few weeks after their admission...I was told earlier by a kind poster here not to worry, but I can't help but be concerned, especially since Wash U is definitely my top choice school.

I am considering e-mailing the school to ask when I could expect to hear about a scholarship...good idea or a no-no? And who should I be emailing about this - just the admissions office?

no no . i recommend negotiating with other schools rn so that u.ll hv a counter offer ready when wustl opens an offer
