Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I called the school to ask them about the admission process, they told me they will be sending out more decisions at the end of this month.

for those who have already been interviewed, did you get asked a lot of questions about your resume/application or were they mostly pretty standard behavioral questions?

Chicago Waitlisters, would you guys be up for sharing LOCI/"Why Chicago" letters via PM? I already have my "reasons" but I'm just looking to improve phrasing and compare my writing with others. I don't have access to mine yet, but will have it later tonight.

I recommend not worrying about it.kitkat288 wrote:Just had my interview... they didn't ask why chicago... so now I am freaking out ....
For someone with an LSAT as high as yours, they already know that a Top6 school is your legitimate aim. Thus, they already know why you would be interested in UofC.
As long as you had a good answer to Why Law in general, then I would encourage you to remain confident.
Of course, this is all coming from someone whose interview wasn't so hot and got waitlisted.
Grain of salt.

edit: oops repeated a word
Had my interview recently. Questions were about why I chose my major and the rest were broad behavioral ones. My interviewer was actually really nice which was a pleasant surprise since previous TLS posts had prepared me for a cold, awkward interview.
Chicago is increasingly becoming my top choice and the wait is so exhausting!!

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Had mine last week and my interviewer told me that they haven't reviewed my application yet. So nothing specific about me; only standard questions like why chicago, why law, why law now, etc.milkandcheerios wrote:for those who have already been interviewed, did you get asked a lot of questions about your resume/application or were they mostly pretty standard behavioral questions?

Had my interview recently. Was told we may hear back in a week or 2. Here is to hoping!!!
Was asked the standard stuff - why law, what do you look for in a law school, greatest accomplishment, etc.
Fairly informal but nothing like the UVA informal interview lol

I'm waitlisted. Wrote the optional essay and submitted it.
Wonder if they will interview those of us on the WL who haven't yet been interviewed...
