I know a similar situation was discussed a couple of pages back, but mine is slightly different and I was wondering what you all thought.

I'm sitting at a 1/5 complete with a 171 LSAT and 3.9 GPA, so I don't think my numbers are preventing them from looking at my app. Should I call or would that just bother them?

Thanks.

Decided to withdraw. Good luck, all. Submitted 12/11, UR 3/8(I think), interview invite 3/21.

For those of us that were waitlisted earlier, has anyone sent in their essay? If so, was it a version of a 'why Chicago?' essay? On the same vein, any waitlisted candidates get called for interviews?

Could someone shed some light on the interview for me? I have one coming up and don't know what to expect. Thanks!

there are entire threads devoted to this interview, look around first. See Regulus's chi interview thread and spreadsheet, its very helpful.

I had my interview today and it went okay. All the questions were covered in Regulus' thread. The interviewer was warm and friendly, but I know I fumbled some of my responses.

I asked when it would be reasonable to receive a decision as I'm strongly interested in attending ASW and I was told most likely by the end of the week. She also said they are trying to power through as many interviews as possible to get most decisions out for the entire applicant pool by the end of March.

If that is correct, then anyone not already interviewed will be WL'ed, rejected.

I wonder what UChi has against us 172+ 4.0+ applicants? I wouldn't imagine that's YP territory for Chicago... What gives, Chicago?

I asked my mom about this -- was thinking about withdrawing for a while -- and that's what she said, too. My response was, "NOOOO, noooo, noooo."

It would kind of make sense at this point. Accept folks with good numbers w/out interview given that it's near the end of the cycle; give folks on the bubble an interview to sort out WL vs. accepts vs. denials (*gulp*). Seems like a reasonable strategy since it appears that Chicago's process is moving a little more slowly this year.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
