I really think so..unless there is some massive, cruel glitch in the database. But I wasn't able to generate a UN/PW before the 12/20 status update..and why else would the address change on status checker unless they planned to send physical mail? It only makes sense, but it's so annoying not having official validation!cactuarX3 wrote:is everyone of the general consensus that this 100% means acceptance?franklyscarlet wrote:lgleye wrote:Means you're in, dummy. Ahhh I just had my interview yesterday and now the office is out until after new years! I'm just sitting here with a blank status checker until then I guess...

Yup, but in all fairness I was last complete on 12/19. I didn't even think to check the ASW until today when everyone ITT was talking about it, so I'm not sure how long I've actually been able to access my log-in information.cactuarX3 wrote:SERIOUS? damn, i still can't login (stress level rising)thelawschoolproject wrote:Yay! I normally don't post, I just read, but I thought I'd drop in to say I got a call from my interviewer on Wednesday congratulating me on my acceptance to GULC! (The acceptance letter had been sent to me a week earlier but I hadn't seen it because it was sitting at my parents' house in a stack of mail)
My LSAT isn't great (163) but I have a 4.0, really good softs and I think I nailed the interview.
Good luck everyone!

Has there been any consensus on what it meant to get invited to the group interview? I did the group interview last week with 170/3.7x and my last status update was complete on 12/13 (a few days before my interview). Does no update since the interview mean waitlist/reject?

+1 on this, I've searched and found a good amount of information on alumni interviews but have yet to see any general consensus on what group interviews signify.winning wrote:Has there been any consensus on what it meant to get invited to the group interview? Just out of curiosity, what has your research told you about the significance of an alumni interview...?StevefromNY wrote:+1 on this, I've searched and found a good amount of information on alumni interviews but have yet to see any general consensus on what group interviews signify.winning wrote:Has there been any consensus on what it meant to get invited to the group interview? Ugh, updated 11/16 w/ interview, and then 12/19 and 12/20 after interview. Still can't get a username and password on the ASW. I want GULC so badly! Come on give me an early Christmas present!

It seems like its primarily for borderline candidates and for YP purposes. Generally 30-40 percent of those interviewed by alumni are admitted. The big difference between the group and alumni interviews seems to be that declining the alumni interview gets u dinged most of the time while declining the group interview seems to have little effect either way.Elendil wrote:Just out of curiosity, what has your research told you about the significance of an alumni interview...?StevefromNY wrote:+1 on this, I've searched and found a good amount of information on alumni interviews but have yet to see any general consensus on what group interviews signify.winning wrote:Has there been any consensus on what it meant to get invited to the group interview? That is for pretty obvious reasons, though. The alum interview can be set at any time that is convenient for both people involved, whereas the group one can't.StevefromNY wrote:It seems like its primarily for borderline candidates and for YP purposes. And I think the only person ITT who has declined either (group, fwiw) and has been accepted couldn't go because they work on the Hill. That is going to look a lot different that simply declining.

judging by when thelawschoolproject was able to access hers, it seems like 4 days is the amount of time needed for them to give you access (she went complete for the last time 12/19 and could access it 12/23 after midnight it seems)franklyscarlet wrote:I've tried m username 4 times so far... if this theory is true, I will be able to access it tomorrow (12/20 ---> 12/24) and you will be able to access it 12/26
i know exactly how you feel though; sometimes i wish i never tried generating those login credentials 2 days ago

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I declined the group interview because it was the day after Thanksgiving and I was out of the state. I applied PT only and I think I'm borderline for that program. I haven't updated since completion (10/11). If I get dinged I will definitely wonder if the interview played a role. My fingers are still crossed though.
