It is my goal to get into Mich if only to go to ASW and meet Dean Z.

Oh, don't be whiney. I have no clue about ED rejections.benito wrote:Thoroughly ignored question, nice

There you go.If an applicant is not admitted under Early Decision, his or her application will be rolled over into the regular decision pool.

It's not exactly something most people pay attention to. Have they ever rejected anyone...probably. Is it common...doubt it.benito wrote:Thoroughly ignored question, nice

Thanks! And we have pretty similar #s, too, so that definitely cheers me up.Zelda wrote:I am 11/18 and haven't heard back either. I don't think we need to be worried yet!sven wrote:Oh congrats! I have to say...I know almost everyone in here is a 0L and all...but you all need to get better at looking stuff up. That is in large part what LS is....and being a lawyer. If one more person says "OMG my status updated, is that important?" I'm leaving this thread. It's on like every damn page...just search/read a little. Or questions that are in the FAQ... Half the topics posted on TLS alone are easily searchable. Get used to finding the answers for yourself instead of relying on others...sanguar wrote:ITT Blue gets snarky.blue_c wrote:Oh, don't be whiney. Honestly, I'm used to asking a question and having it ignored. It happens. His comment just solicited a similar response. It was meant in good humour. It actually gave me a good excuse to read the FAQ, which I am now pouring over for any more useful information. But I do agree that more often than not, people can find their own answers in less time than it takes to wait for the thread to answer your question.

Guilty on the whiny charge I'm just on edge. I did try to look it up tho it just wasn't clear if someone with say a 2.0/140 would just get rejected or rolled over to rd

I'd guess rejected unless exceptional softs. That's just way too far from the range...and more importantly the caliber of people we admit.benito wrote:Guilty on the whiny charge I'm just on edge. lol. Yeah, sounds pretty clear on the faq that they just roll everyone over (followed by a quick reject?). Good luck if those are your actual numbers. Hope you have some great softsbenito wrote:Guilty on the whiny charge I'm just on edge. same warries. My status was changed from ED to NO DECISION, does that mean a reject? OMG...I'm so disappointed.benito wrote:Does mich outright reject any Ed applicants? Or do all undesirables get rolled over to rd and rejected down the line?

It means they rolled you into regular decision. There's an explanation at the bottom of the status checker page.t14retaker wrote:same warries. Thank you, I definitely know this, for I read them like thousand times. But I don't understand what does that mean? If ED is not OK, how can RD favor me? Or ED just need higher qualification?46nyc wrote:It means they rolled you into regular decision. There's an explanation at the bottom of the status checker page.t14retaker wrote:same warries. or NO DECISION just mean waitlisted? That's easier to understand.

Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I think for most EDs it means they don't have a good enough idea of what the entire applicant pool will look like, so they want to get a better idea of that before they accept or reject you. I don't know what your application looks like though so I can't really give you a good estimate of their rationale behind it. Wish we could help more :/t14retaker wrote:

but I consider myself as a non-traditional applicant. 4 years WE. good UG GPA. (not superior). And I showed strong interest to M. Will that help?
