Man, I don't understand why they let me in. People with far better numbers than me are being dinged which makes me think they really liked something about me

Any sense that they've been going in any kind of order or using any sort of pattern at all? People getting responses today seem to have submission dates pretty much all over the map - though no january submissions that I saw (cursory glance at the posts I admit). I submitted 12/17, UR 12/20. No updates since, no CR, no ding email (yet), no phone call (would like to use my "yet" here but it's sadly already taken by the "ding email"). Wondering if it's possible they just haven't gotten to me at all yet?

Really I just want to know if I can stop staring fearfully at my computer screen while I obsessively refresh my inbox. arghhhhhh...

I'm in a similar boat here (although I submitted in early November). Good luck!

I just looked through last years thread...feeling pretty nervous As a splitter and a semi-late applicant (December), I'm completely expecting a ding.

Does anyone else think it's weird that FR/CR applicants have pretty much the same acceptance rate? You would think filtering out the applications to a second round would mean that there's something they liked about it.

Yeah, it's a bit weird, but remember the CR pool has all the auto-admits taken out, so the leftovers don't have any statistical stars, I guess.

It looks like a lot of this rejections were non CR rejections though...so maybe there is hope to be had yet!

There's plenty of people in CR above both 75ths. Berkeley is just weird.

I'm willing to sign onto this theory. I have pretty middling numbers for Boalt and am in the first batch of CR.

If I were you, id keep my phone handy today. But don't take my word for it.

We can hope that we're in the 15 admissions that happened with the 100 rejections last year But, if not, at least we're hanging on.

Went under review as of 1/10....nothing has changed since then. Probably checked the status website 200+ times in the past 3 weeks. Has anyone who applied in early January had any movement yet?
