Hey 0L's,

I was spying on your thread. I just wanted to point out that I got a V20 firm from the top 15%. It was a very rough year though and I know a lot of people who came up empty handed from OCI. However, it bears mentioning that my V20 firm office is only having four summers and two of us are from Hastings. Moral? The economy is shot but if you're a great candidate from Hastings, there is always a place for you. Don't come to Hastings and ride the 33rd-50th percentile if you want BigLaw; you'll be disappointed.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the school and job placement if you PM me.

HTTH.

Congrats! I personally think Hastings is a great school, but imo has the same opportunities as Davis, and Davis will save me $$$$ on rent / hospital bills (just kidding) and I can live a few minutes from campus.

Hard to say, they just started accepting people (not including EA). First wave of acceptances went and it seems like everyone applied October/Nov.

Hm, LSN hasn't reported any more acceptances other than the two...I wonder what's going on.

Really? I wasn't aware of that fact.

..or maybe I was trying to communicate that, since the last wave of Hastings decisions seemed to be followed by a lot of updates on LSN, I found it strange that that is not so today, at least.

But thanks for letting me know.

lol i'm guessing it was the speed of the snail mail. they probably had one wave this week and some people got the mail late or just updated late.

Not sure if youre being sarcastic or not but LSN is definitely a smallish percentage. of the applicants

Not only that... LSN usually attracts the more qualified students. this also applies to this forum as well. the LSN graphs don't make sense if you look at each of the school's medians, except the fact that people who bother to post here or make an account usually have a good GPA or LSAT, or both.

Thanks, if it was dated later than 1/7 it would be big news, if it was 1/7 or before, then that means no new acceptances really.

Did anyone get scholarships, and did it say on the acceptance letter or separately?

I got the Hastings acceptance letter on Saturday (1/16) and it is dated 1/13.. So I guess that means they did send out decisions last week. I wonder if it will be a weekly thing? I went complete in late october.
