Re: Seattle 2010
Reviewing Seattle U's current and future projects, including the Lemieux Library opening up in Fall 2010, I get the impression that Seattle U Law School is definitely on its way to becoming one of the top 50, maybe even top 25 law schools in the US someday.
Could Seattle University School of Law feasibly surpass UW Law School in ranking someday?

Got the big packet on Thursday, no mention of $$$ though. I've heard such great things about the school though from people I know in Seattle it's making me think sticker is worth it.

Re: Seattle 2010
Very unlikely. I say this as a UW undergrad alum and a Seattle hopeful for law school. If UW ever felt threatened the Gates would splash out enough money to maintain the distance between the two. Seattle can still be a great school, though. I hope I get in.MisterChase wrote:Could Seattle University School of Law feasibly surpass UW Law School in ranking someday?

What'd your status checker say when you got in? Did it update to "Decision Rendered"?

Admitted via status checker!!! Their status checker seems a bit delayed; it says I was admitted March 5th, but I've been checking every single day and it didn't change until today.
I'm going to law school!!!!

How long did it take to get a status checker? I only applied about a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't heard much from them...

Yeah it took me awhile to get a status checker also. Probably came like a week or two after my actual complete date that they listed. So probably expect it to get to u in 3-4 weeks after submitting ur app

excellent question, I would like to know too.
I did get a letter saying that my financial aid profile is up for evaluation and that I should get an award letter within three weeks - So I assume if the tuition isn't already public knowledge, then I'll at least find out that information in the award letter..?

I got the same letter a couple of days ago and that's what I was thinking. Glad I'm not the only one.oberlin08 wrote:nickc8 wrote:Does anyone know what the tuition will be for 2010-2011?

Just booked my ticket 2 days ago to fly out to Seattle for the open house on the 26th! Can anyone recommend a nice hostel in a safe area, or at least an area close to the campus? Is anyone else going the hostel route, or are you staying elsewhere?

Re: Seattle 2010
Thought I would throw in my 2 cents since I am now highly considering the school.
Got into the Summer start (?) full-time program via status checker. The date of decision was in February, so I am utterly confused why I havent received anything per mailing. Anyone else in this summer start full time category?
A few months ago they sent an email detailing a special program I was being considered for, because of my lowish gpa and high[er] lsat and also maybe because I am Bolivian. I assume this is the program I was accepted to? Anyone going to visit the school next week or the week after? I am thinking of hopping on a plane soon since im fairly close (Los Angeles).
It is a dead heat of the 2nd tier schools for me between SU and Loyola Chicago. So either way my lifestyle will be changing dramatically. I know I am in the SU thread but anyone have any opinions on Chicago vs Seattle? Ha, anyways glad to be in the group with all of you, I am very excited for school.
Thanks!
PS my stats were 2.9 gpa & 159 lsat

Re: Seattle 2010
That makes me super happy to hear about the prog for low GPA/high(er) LSAT! I'm Native American, so I'm kind of hoping I got into that prog, given my 2.75/157. My app went into review on the 11th of this month, so I'm hoping to hear back soon.
I just got so excited about maybe getting admitted despite the awful GPA that I had to post instead of lurk per the usual. =)
