Re: George Mason 2010
I know they did a bunch of phone calls just before closing for Xmas break...have they started making calls again, or no?

According to LSN, more acceptances went out on 1/9 and 1/15, which were thursdays and fridays. they sent out the first 2 rounds of calls on almost the exact same days they did last year, so i would bet you see some more movement in the next 2 days.

Considering it, trying to figure some logistics out with a friend of mine. It's just on Saturday, right?rockthelaw wrote:Hey, is anyone going to the February ASW?
Rock, do you remember the exact date? I want to say the 27th, but can't remember.

I guess they need to work on emails and inquiries that came in during the holiday, then make the phone calls. I called them on Monday, busy.

Re: George Mason 2010
is it possible that only those top-top first round acceptances get phone calls and we're freaking out over nothing? Mine changed yesterday to the whole "you'll receive a letter/decision by mail in 2-4 weeks" as well.
I live about 2 miles from the school so hopefully it arrives sooner!

From what I've seen on LSN, the January acceptances are by phone as well. But I didn't look at every acceptance. Browse last years apps and see if they ever mailed / emailed acceptances.

Just changed from incomplete/waiting for future LSAT to complete, no 2-4 week message though. I probably won't hear in January.

I hear ya. I wish GMU (and most other law schools) would actually utilize their status checker properly rather than making us wait for an envelope. Seems like their under utilizing the technology.

Re: George Mason 2010
I believe this is the first year they've had one so they are probably just used to doing it the other way and haven't quite integrated the status checker into their process yet. Still bothersome though.

Re: George Mason 2010
I am in the same position as most of you it seems like. 3.25 GPA and 162 LSAT, and just received that same "you will receive a letter in 2-4 weeks" response. I am not expecting to get into GMU bc the GPA is so high, and if they were going to accept me I don't think that they would be doing it so soon. Hate to say it but doesn't look good.

Based on the small sample on LSN from last year it looked like during the first full week after New Years that they made calls on Thursday and Friday, so hopefully you all will hear something in the next few days.nooyyllib wrote:H.E.P. so maybe they will start giving out phone calls tomorrow?!?!?!?

Pennypacker, it appears you've become an authority on GMU acceptances.

Re: George Mason 2010
Did everyone receive a GMU Happy Holidays card??
I would not expect them to send those to people they were about to send a rejection letter to.
My status is also "letter mailed 2-4 weeks"

I have a LOT of free time at work.
And any info I give is based soley on what I can gather from info on LSN. I have no other inside knowledge. Just ample time.

Didn't receive the card. By the way, I bet for most of you the letter will be a waitlist, not a rejection. I have a sub-160 LSAT and 3.7 GPA, so I'm expecting a rejection, but a waitlist would be awesome.

I received the card. I was hoping it was acting as a status checker since the status checker has had no movement since going complete the beginning of December.
The card arrive a couple weeks before Christmas. If that means anything.

I do know that BC has been sending invitations to apply for scholarships to people they've rejected.
