Yeah, but I had my JR1 first week of January. 1/7 to be exact.

If your GPA is below their median, that might be making them hesitate. But I wouldn't get too nervous yet.

Guess I'll just start worrying after the next batch of JR2s.

I got my JR2 about a week ago (with an interview in early Jan.). I wouldn't worry too much about it though if you haven't heard anything yet - the timing in sending out acceptances seems to really vary. From what I've gathered, the interview seems to be a really positive sign!

probably few were as obsessive as i in looking for stats, but i thought i'd share my finds. i crunched the numbers in search of comfort but found little:
last year, ~20% of the ~850 acceptances were reported on LSN (169).
with ~1100 phone calls, we can expect ~250 JR1's to be WL/R.
i know there's (potentially huge) self-reporting bias differences in A/R/WL/H, and i think more people use LSN than post on TLS, but if we estimate very conservatively and use 20% as the % decisions represented on LSN and TLS, we might expect ~50 JR1->WL/R to be eventually reported on TLS.
from the harvard threads so far, i count 13 of the oct/nov/dec JR1's have gone to hold.
if we use the conservative number, it looks like all holds will proceed to WL/R. if we think 20% is waay too high, then we can expect some holds to proceed to A.
SIGH

question: are the most successful applicants getting the jr2 call the first monday after jr1? so if one had a jr1 at the end of one week, is it still reasonable to expect jr2 on the following monday?
thanks.

yes, most successful applicants, even those with jr1's toward the end of a week, receive jr2's the first monday after their jr1. however, there have been a few jr1 recipients here and there who have gotten their jr2's a number of mondays after their jr1. best of luck to you!

Joining this club as of this morning. I'm still shaking a little. This has probably been asked, but did JR tell you guys at the end of the interview that your file was going to faculty review? This is what he told me, and I'm not sure if that's standard practice, a good sign or a bad sign.

that's the usual line. now next monday you get to stare at your phone and attempt to make it ring all day. you also get to increase your nervousness after every JR2 report on the forum.
congrats

Now that it's been 2 weeks since my JR1, I'm assuming its safe to assume I should be receiving a hold/WL email soon? Or is that too many assumptions?

See 4 posts above...he said the same to me today. Good luck!

The JR1 ruined me!
I was moseying along, minding my own business, with good enough stats to get me into plenty of top 10 schools. Suddenly I get an interview request from Harvard, my I'll-apply-for-the-hell-of-it-but-never-get-in school. I sign on to this site, which tells me that this is a good sign, that I have a 4/5 chance of admission, that the admit is mine to lose.
Then the call: A big, long, rambling mess. I could hear the ding in the background as I hung up.
Damn you, JR1! I didn't even know what a JR1 was until last week! I wish I'd never found out!

My interview went exactly the same way: no "what have you been up to?", horrible answer to "why law?" but very detailed "why HLS?" answer. Apparently, he didn't care.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
