I had this both before and after being accepted. It is really nothing.5ky wrote:CyLaw wrote:Means nothing. Don't you find out about TFA today or tomorrow, possibly making this entire process moot for you? Or do schools do two-year deferrals?VoidSix wrote:I applied on freaking September 17th. Come onnnnnn UVA.

Re: UVA 2010, RD
Yeah, I do find out tomorrow. But they all do two year deferrals, even Yale, so I would consider that. Although it might be smarter to reapply in two years and hope TFA gets me into Stanford or Yale or nets me some more money at a school like UVA. Who knows. Either way, every since I realized UVA had started making decisions, I've been paranoid (also since I looked at the LSN graphs and noticed the rampant YP).

Well you're definitely-without-a-doubt-no-chance-of-alternate-fate getting YP'ed, T14. I'm just almost-certainly-but-with-hope-of-not getting YP'ed.

Some have received Scholarship info, and some have not. I don't think we've definitely assured that if you didn't get a scholarship in the packet, you won't ever get any.FeuerFrei wrote:Is there any consensus as to whether the UVA big packet has scholarship info with it?

I have no idea what their reasons for changing the status date might be, but mine didn't change.mrc30 wrote:my status date changed today, did this happen to anyone else? it seems like this doesn't mean anything though, right?

No. I didn't even know that was an option (sending an extra essay to a school that doesn't ask / require it) until a few weeks ago.

No "Why UVA" letter for me either - however, I am a VA resident and already submitted proof that I was an in-state resident (per their request), so that may have shown them I was very interested.

+1, and I had family go there for undergrad. I figured that was reason enough without writing a Why Virginia.PopCopyManager wrote:jocelyne wrote:do we need to?
