Yeah, from LSN it looks like they are starting waitlisting people... I've been in review for almost two months already with no changes. I don't even know if it's a good or a bad thing anymore.

Did you get that e-mail this morning from the law office asking if you're still interested in admission? I called the office and they said that's why the status went blank.

Yep, I just got a really vague "are you still interested?" e-mail. I'm way OOS, a splitter, and I applied to a crapload of schools so I can see why they'd send something like this since it's at the end of the cycle. I'm not quite sure how to respond because I really don't want to take up a spot from someone who is die-hard UTK, and I would need $$$ to attend, but at the same point, I've been waiting forever and I kind of want a decision made on my file and I haven't gotten into my top choices yet.
How did you answer?

Well, UT is my #1 choice, so I called them up and asked if this was an e-mail telling me I was on the waiting list. They said no, they're just trying to make sure everyone is interested that they're still considering.
If I were you, I'd tell them you are interested. You definitely have a shot at $$$ I would think.

Done -- thanks for the advice

. I checked that I was interested in the RA scholarship on the application and if I was able to get something like that it would be very very hard to turn down. I also really appreciate that UTK only puts "good standing" stips on their scholly's so I wouldn't have to worry about losing a scholarship there (or at least from what I've seen).

When did you receive that "are you interested" email?
I still have my status from October, and no email

this is making me so nervous!

I got it this morning. Blank status checker was the indicator that I was going to get it. I only went complete last week and my LSAT is high for UT-K.

I wonder what this means! My numbers are not spectacular but well within what UTK accepts. I'm thinking a waitlist might be imminent, but I hope not! I can't really tell by LSN, as some with lower numbers have been accepted, and some with similar numbers have been waitlisted.

Yup me too ... I'm sure they aren't there, so why must I compulsively check the status checker?!

Reassuring to hear that I'm not going through this alone. Complete since 1/27/10 and haven't heard a peep from UTennessee. Stalking status checker and LSN numbers isn't helping me. I'm 162/3.76, so I thought I had a good shot, but they seem to be rejecting and waitlisting arbitrarily. Worried. New insight, anyone?

I didn't realize that being in state gave you a boost in admissions for ls but based on the fact that people with way higher numbers than me are being waitlisted and rejected, that's clearly the case. Good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back! I'm waiting to hear from Illinois.. I was waitlisted. If I get in, there will be one more open spot for someone at Tennessee..

I need a decision before Thursday so I can cancel my trip to SLU if accepted. I don't really want to go to SLU, but with the scholarship they've offered, they're a viable option. Come on UT. Don't make me drive to Missouri!

I've been under review since 12/8 and not a peep until today when my status date changed...wonder what this means since I did not get the email about still being interested.

I doubt it, but I'm not sure. When I talked to Janet Hatcher, she gave me the impression that every spare dollar is used for scholarship money or on their students. Can't hurt to ask, though.

I called today and they seemed to think they'd send out most decisions by the beginning of next week.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
