Yea, I wouldn't worry about it. The only thing that would make me worry is if more TS1's go out before you get a TS2. I don't think not getting a call is reprehensible or anything, unless he specifically promised he would give you word in a few days. You seem pretty chill about it, which is the right attitude. Just keep your fingers crossed. Someone will get admitted shortly (or at least a couple over the course of the summer) and you're a few steps ahead already. The last thing Toby said to me (during our 10 second TS1 call) was that I was on the "shortlist for admission." Which is why I'm still holding out hope.

Re: Harvard Waitlist Statistics
oh dear things seem so dead up in here.
here's a quasi-topical question: i think i remember the harvard letter saying that you cannot defer your admission after waitlist acceptance (i'm at work - i don't have it in front of me). is this right? i assume that this is the case everywhere. any exceptions?

Has anyone called the Admissions Office for any more information or an estimate of when we might hear something?

My friend called Wed. They give a very general answer about the possibility of accepting people up until registration.

well that's dissappointing. it's just a shame we don't know more about the timeline. ah well, i'm going to do as planned and pretend i'm not on the waitlist.boston101 wrote:My friend called Wed. They give a very general answer about the possibility of accepting people up until registration.

Yeah, I keep waiting for a Process Update on Toby's blog, but it looks like he's slowing up the entries now that the main admissions cycle is basically over.

Re: Harvard Waitlist Statistics
Hey what school are you all going to that allow you to stay on the Harvard waitlist into the summer? I know a lot of schools make you withdraw all applications when you accept and I assume almost everyone on this waitlist would have accepted somewhere else.

NYU allows you to stay on waitlists, but you have to withdraw from all schools that have accepted you (at the time that you turn in your deposit).

it's sad because it all started with such promise when those first few people were admitted, but it's looking bad now.

Scout, when did they tell you that?
I wonder why there were so many WL-As last year, and seemingly so few this year.
