Sorry to those who have received dings, Cornell's loss.
How are they communicating dings?

Gotta wonder what's the strategy in so many early rejections. Why limit the applicant pool before you see how the rest of the class shapes up? A ding now is the same as a ding in March. I just don't quite understand the reasoning.

Dinged today too. >75ths for both. This is really making me sweat. A ding seems extreme for YP. At least waitlist me, man.

Maybe they're tired of filling up their WL with applicants who they believe have no interest in going? I have no idea how the process works, tbh.

Sorry about all of the bad news, everyone. Similar thing happened last year. It's definitely a unique method to ding borderline or qualified applicants so early. If you got waitlisted, keep up the hope. Not only does Cornell pull extensively from the waitlist, they offer significant scholarships off the waitlist as well. Best of luck to those still waiting to hear back

What's up with Cornell and these dings... sorry you guys. Also, I don't want to be that guy but my nerves are getting the best of me: Ready for review since 10/25. Does this mean I missed the ding wave or have they just not looked at my application yet? Noticed someone here got a ding after submitting on 10/26.

Don't have an exact answer for you but I also have been ready for review since October 25th. Haven't been dinged, also haven't gotten an interview request

I have also been UR 1 since October 18, but no interview request. GPA & LSAT are greater than 75th percentile. Anyone know why this might be?

They probably haven’t gotten to us yet. I haven’t seen an interview request for someone submitted later than we did so far.MonicaYoung_LOL wrote:I have also been UR 1 since October 18, but no interview request. GPA & LSAT are greater than 75th percentile. Anyone know why this might be?

Is ready for review the same as UR1? I guess if they haven't gotten to you guys yet, my ding/reserve is forthcoming.Ntp73821 wrote:They probably haven’t gotten to us yet.
