So this is on the admitted students portal
Will GW Law negotiate my financial aid/merit scholarship package with me based on offers I've received at other schools?
No. All schools have different criteria for determining aid based on need and/or merit, different amounts of funds available, and varying levels of demand. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to adjust offers to admitted students based on those of other schools.
Anyone planning on negotiating scholarships?

I saw this. Was a little bummed since I would be pretty interested at a better price than my current aid offer. Also, their $3,000 seat deposit seems a little much.l3g@l33s3 wrote:So this is on the admitted students portal

Peeked at last year's thread and it seems like there is a form to request scholarship 'reconsideration' - so basically, they negotiate in a more formal way it looks like, and you might have to name your target number. We'll see what it looks like for us.

And GW's reputation as a money-sucker emerges already, before matriculation lolol

Got it. This sounds reasonable then. I'm sure they have an idea of what options certain number sets have available to them anyways.Dodocogon wrote:Peeked at last year's thread and it seems like there is a form to request scholarship 'reconsideration' - so basically, they negotiate in a more formal way it looks like, and you might have to name your target number. Congrats to all those who got in! I went complete 12/12 bc strangely, GW was the only school that found issue with my transcript and it took two weeks for the resend to process. Here's hoping!

Decision Made today
Application Completed: 11/28
Visited Campus and told them how awesome I thought GWU Law was: 12/1 (this probably doesn't matter in all honesty)
Went under review: 12/5

Hoping they just say that to deter applicants from trying. Hard to go there with more money from higher ranked schools with lower COL..SeanORaff33 wrote:No negotiating and a 3k deposit. No thanks. y'all can share my scholarship, i wont be using it lol
