Just out of curiosity, how do you know there's been no movement at Chicago or CLS?gobears!! wrote:To be fair, a lot of peer schools haven't had movement (e.g. Chicago and CLS) so maybe we will see a slower progression as they try to analyze medians.

I'm on both WL and there hasn't been any reported movement on LSN or TLS from either school.Loney M. (Well someone reported a WL->A from Columbia but based on the dates I think it was a hold acceptance, not a reserve.)

No movement on TLS and LSN is absolutely right. I have seen movement from a couple of other schools, like Columbia and NYU, but even Georgetown seems to be picking people up at sloth pace, lurking tells me.Loney M. I really want as many of you as possible to get into Harvard. I'm on the WL but don't expect anything of it. I just want some of the Chicago folks to get in, so that a spot opens up at Chicago for me.

Why are you being so mean to us this year, waitlists? Although I'm not sure what's worse - no movement at all, or movement for people who aren't me.

There may just be fewer spots to go around this year. Of the ~600 people in the Facebook group, there aren't many current students/adcomms or people who've indicated they're going to YLS or SLS.genericwit wrote:No movement on TLS and LSN is absolutely right. This lack of movement is concerning. If nothing happens by the end of this week, I will officially begin freaking out.

Yea I based my post on the fact that I haven't seen much on here or on LSN. Plus, Chicago hasn't even sent the "are you still interested" email.hwplainview wrote:There may just be fewer spots to go around this year. Did we already speculate as to why no one is getting off WLs at these schools (Harvard, Chicago, Columbia)? Does this mean barely anyone is getting off or does this mean people will get off the WLs, but just later than usual?

It looks like Harvard's has more accepted offers at this point than in previous years, which could mean less wait list movement. Not sure about Chicago and Columbia.Loney M. This is disappointing.. Don't understand why it'd be the case. More test-takers than last year, but less than the year before. Bright side - if this is truly an extraordinary year for their yield, I imagine they'll want to brag about it. (Or, less cynically - if they know they're only going to take a fraction of the usual amount off the waitlist, they might let us know before too long).

I am not sure if it's indicative of anything...
But someone was added to the FB group a few days back...only one person though.
Maybe the person was accepted a while back but only decided to get FB last week?

Interview request at 9:50.
Does anyone know if the questions in a post-WL JS1 are any different from a pre-WL JS1?
