Lmao. I'm low key disappointed that we were able to pretty much exactly predict what was gonna happen.no_desk wrote:Just got an email, essentially as expected: "deposits are strong, we are planning to make few new decisions over the next few weeks" but please keep in touch regarding your level of interest and all that stuff.
On another note, their FB group is at a low of 450 members, for what it's worth (which isn't much, but it creates hope and the fact that it's been dropping makes me question just how strong deposits are)

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
Good evening from Georgetown. I'm writing to you today to give you an update on the Georgetown waiting list. As you know, you are on our preferred waiting list, which we typically look to first if spaces open up in the entering class.
As of today our deposits are quite strong, and we are planning to make few, if any, new decisions for the next few weeks. However, these things have a way of changing so it is always possible we will have room in the next few weeks.
If we do extend offers of admission, the Committee will be particularly interested in applicants who truly want to be at Georgetown. Please continue to keep in touch with us with your level of interest and any changes in your application through admis@law.georgetown.edu.
If you don't hear from us earlier, the key date for us (and you) is June 1st when our second deposits are due. We will be back in touch by June 6th at the latest, if not before.
We look forward to hearing back from you and we thank you again for your continued interest in Georgetown and for your patience with our process.

Same thoughts. Only thing I'd add is the June 1st-June 6th window. I guess that makes sense considering their deposit deadline schedule but I guess I had been optimistically hoping we'd be seeing more frequent movement.ls2k16 wrote:Lmao. Did anyone here get the regular waitlist email? It sounded much less optimistic, but I'm not losing hope.

Can I respond directly to the email with a "Dear Andy?" The informality of Andy feels weird

"Class is full and we anticipate making few if any new decisions" ... Well that sucks! I guess that's the end.jsylkpd wrote:What does it say in the regular waitlist email?Anonnonnon wrote:Did anyone here get the regular waitlist email? It sounded much less optimistic, but I'm not losing hope.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
But according to the facebook group/Georgetown's emails to the preferred waitlist, the class isn't truly full. My guess is they want to see who on the regular waitlist is actually committed to attending if accepted, more so than those who are on the preferred waitlist.run4fun wrote:"Class is full and we anticipate making few if any new decisions" ... With your numbers, I'd be shocked if you didn't get in. Probably good newsbobobo wrote:I didn't hear from them today (special preferred). Good sign? Bad sign? Who knows!!!ramadar wrote:Did anyone on special preferred get an email today?

Yeah...Turning my sights toward the June LSAT and reapplying at this point. Don't think you can really depend on a waitlist admit at this stage, I hate to say it, everybody.

If no decision comes in by then, I've set Friday as my deadline to move on.Alive97 wrote:Yeah...Turning my sights toward the June LSAT and reapplying at this point. Don't think you can really depend on a waitlist admit at this stage, I hate to say it, everybody.

I just feel cheated as a regular waitlist. If Georgetown does not want anyone from the regular waitlist, I'd prefer a outright rejection.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
I wouldn't be too sure. Based on their Facebook group and past TLS threads, most admits come in late May-Early JulyAlive97 wrote:Yeah...Turning my sights toward the June LSAT and reapplying at this point. EDIT: For reference, Georgetown Law's facebook page for this year has 450 members. Last years had 603 members. So even being generous, there are still plenty of open spots left

I'm going to ride this out until my second seat deposit is due.
