Waitlisted at Michigan and Georgetown. Both schools I totally would've considered going to, I can't tell if I'm YP or just borderline with my stats.

I've been waitlisted at every law school I've heard back from so far. No acceptances, no rejections, just waitlists. I was even getting anxious and applied to a school I'd never considered going to and got waitlisted for them as well. The schools I applied to are literally all over the place so I don't understand! Is anyone else going through this? :(

I applied Feb 1

Waitlisted:
GWU
W&L
Colorado
Northeastern

5 apps still pending but it doesn't look so good for me.

I'm sitting on 9 waitlists, and 2 schools haven't responded to me yet. I'm a super splitter so I was expecting that to some extent, but not having a straight answer is a little bothersome. It can happen for a variety of reasons, either yield protection, or the opposite where it's an unlikely reach, or w/e.

Best of luck though to all waitlisters out there. There's still plenty of time to hear from places off the waitlist, just be vigilant in following up and showing interest.

By Feb 1st a huge percentage of each class has already been offered admission, which means you'd likely be a good candidate in September, but not outstanding enough to offer one of the precious few remaining spots in the class to, so while they don't want to reject you they also don't have room to accept you. Could be worthwhile to just sit out the cycle, re-take the LSAT in June, have your apps out the door Sept 1st. I'd bet money if you could do that and bring up your LSAT score ~5-7 points you'd turn waitlists into hefty scholarships at the same schools you're applying to.

In the same boat and I agree with this. I will most like be retaking in September and sending apps much earlier this time.

Waitlisted at:

Vanderbilt (meh)
UCLA (meh)
Texas (meh)
Cornell (I was ED and then withdrew my ED; so as much as I'd like to go, I doubt it'll happen. :( )
Columbia (let me innnnnnnnnnn)
Georgetown (meh)

Full scholly at Notre Dame, Boston, ASU, and a few others, and waiting to hear back from NYU, USC, Harvard (lol, yeah right), and Chicago (interviewed last week).

So far, my top choice for being actually accepted is Notre Dame. Decent ranking with full scholarship. I applied everywhere in October except Chicago. I applied there January 12th because I got an email from them.

Guess I might as well settle in here. I have an almost laughable range of schools I'm waitlisted at:

Columbia
WUSTL
Washington & Lee

Riding the first 2 but withdrew from W&L. I'm sure I'll add a few more to this list before it's all said and done.

Figured I'd checkin:

Withdrew all acceptances and wait lists, 9 total, except:
Wisconsin (in)

Notre Dame (reach and wait listed)
I hope visiting, Loci, and phone interview gets me off their list ASAP.

Sincerely,
Another hopefull

Wl at WUSTL. Also, it's still weird to me seeing WUSTL instead of WashU.

Planning on riding it out and falling back on UIUC/BC/Fordham if I don't get off the wl.
Good luck to everyone else

You can have my spot and scholly at Notre Dame if I get into Chicago. That''s how that works, right?! lol

I applied late in the admission cycle, around early March. I have still not heard back from anywhere. Am I looking at a lot of waitlists?

Maybe. Maybe not. Nobody can tell you that information without having an idea of what your numbers are and where you have applied.

Given that the normal time to hear back from a school is over a month, I'm not sure saying you "still" haven't hear back is a sign either way. If you applied to TT schools with top 20 numbers then I'd be surprised you hadn't heard back yet, but otherwise just let the process run its course.

How should we send in additional letters of recommendations? Should we scan it in and attach it to an e-mail to admissions? Should we tell the writer to send it to the waitlist e-mail? Any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
