I am, but I applied the day before the deadline

Hey just curious, are you referring to the deposit deadline? I think UCDavis deadline to apply is in June, at least I hope seeing that I applied 2 weeks ago and my app was accepted LOL! Still waiting too, but figured as much, I am not even in evaluation in progress!!

Heyo,

Any 1ls or Alumni still watching this thread? Got in but with very low financial aid, to which I negotiated with them for a small bump, but think I've maximised what I'm goanna get.

Was just curious if (a) UC Davis ever provides unsolicited scholarship increases. For instance, my friends at other similarly ranked schools had increases their aid after their respective schools had their entire class finalised and had some money to spare here and there. Or/and (b), if I can renegotiate a scholarship after my 1L year. Say I do well, is there a chance they'll throw me more money?

Annoyed they took so long to get back to me and I missed the cut-off for all the other scholarships they posted on their website, but at least I got in.

Cheers!

I just recently withdrew, but in an e-mail to me the Dean wrote:

"We are, of course, disappointed that you are declining our offer of admission and $XXX gift aid award (before consideration for incoming student named scholarships and $500 - $20,000 in gift aid for continuing students)"

So I would say there is a chance they'll throw you more money.

Yes, just received an email that I am on the WL. Any idea how many people usually get in off the wait list?

No mention of deposit. Do WL emails usually ask for a deposit still?

I toured King Hall today and I liked what I saw, lol.
Admissions told me three things:
1. They're incredibly sorry about those still pending
2. They have not dug into the waitlist yet
3. They expect the incoming 1L class to be smaller than previous years.

Two weeks ago. :-)

Our second seat deposit is due June 5th or 10th (sorry not sure, already paid), suspect that's when the next big round of acceptances will be.

I'm a 1L at Davis and just wanted to share that Davis was the last school I heard back from last year. At that point I wasn't even expecting to get in, but was offered admission and a generous scholarship. It was worth the wait. Also, for those of you who have not visited, its a really great campus. I couldn't imagine a better place to study law. Davis is a very comfortable, easy place to be a grad student. I bike to school every day, have affordable housing close to campus, and the students and professors at Davis are very friendly.

You have given me much needed hope. Do your recall what date you were admitted last year?
