I was previewing Columbia's app and this is from question 8.7

"In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners."

Then there is an option for yes or no. I don't see a question here.

So Columbia wants me to submit a written addendum because I missed a semester of undergrad for military training? It is a one sentence explanation that I included in the text box below the question. Am I reading this wrong?

There's no hurry because Columbia has not given me a fee waiver yet. The first one to not...

No I had to submit also for that section because I took a semester off to volunteer abroad. I also included it in the text box. Apparently that was not enough. I did not add much to my explanation at all.
Ugh, that's awful. Thanks for confirming my fears though. It's going to be a two sentence addendum.

So I've decided not to submit my application until I get a fee waiver. I don't think there's any practical difference between applying now and in October, when it seems like an initial wave of waivers went out last year. I'll suck it up and pay if I haven't heard anything by like November.

I'm just worried about C&F ;)
