That's how mine was too.LadyProspero wrote:I was accepted on a Friday, mine came in the mail on a Monday. It was a cardboard mailer that had a green folder inside with the W&M logo. The folder had my acceptance letter with the handwritten note by the dean, scholarship info, employment info, etc. It was all in the folder together.

Complete 1/5 and still waiting. Anyone else? Seems like people are hearing within a few days?
To those accepted, did your status ever say "File Complete/Decision Not Finalized"?

I went File Complete/Decision Not Finalized on 1/30. I'm guessing they will see how the pool is after the Feb LSAT and make a decision after that.lizzielemon wrote:Complete 1/5 and still waiting. Anyone else? Seems like people are hearing within a few days?

Anyone else receive a similar offer and negotiate for more $? I know w&m isn't as expensive as some other schools, but with all other costs included a total of 39k across 3 years is less than I hoped for.
However, I did appreciate a personalized message on my admit letter.
+1 Received the same fellowship and work stipend offer. So much lower than I expected. This is also the first scholarship amount I've received to date, so I have no clue what to expect from other schools.

I received the same offer but I received a scholarship offer of much more from a school ranked directly next to W & M. I'd really prefer WM so I'm hoping this is negotiatable I think it will be.maroon175 wrote:Trumpet101 wrote:Just got the admit/scholly packet in the mail today. W&M looking good for me so far. I've had other schools offer me more money, but W&M is already 10k cheaper then most schools I'm looking at.

Per email only few will receive decisions sooner. Most applicants will receive after April 1st. Is that the email everyone received

To those of you who got a mix of work stipend and merit money, did you have to apply for that work stipend somewhere? On the application or something separate? Just wondering if there was a reason some people have received straight merit awards while others have a mix.

The process seems to be they do an initial review and make a decision in a week if possible.
If not the file will be looked again in March??

From what I've seen the work stipend has only been given to out of staters to cover the tuition increase for out of state, and merit money is just basic merit moneyKaizen428 wrote:To those of you who got a mix of work stipend and merit money, did you have to apply for that work stipend somewhere? There was no additional app for work stipend

I am wondering why W&M doesnt just waitlist instead of keeping me in this admissions purgatory of "application complete, decision not finalized."

I was offered a fellowship with the work stipend and I am an in-state student.legallybrunette93 wrote:From what I've seen the work stipend has only been given to out of staters to cover the tuition increase for out of state, and merit money is just basic merit moneyKaizen428 wrote:To those of you who got a mix of work stipend and merit money, did you have to apply for that work stipend somewhere? For those of you who were accepted, did you get an email or see it in you status checker? Today a bunch of new things appeared in my status checker in the "Requirements" section (seat deposit, UG transcript, etc.) that weren't there yesterday.
And if you got scholarship money, did this come with your decision or separately? Thanks!

I got an email. Looking at my status checker, I see the same additional requirements as you and status still says "application complete." So hopefully that means good news for you! Scholarship info came via priority mail a couple days later.Liz_Lemon wrote:For those of you who were accepted, did you get an email or see it in you status checker? Thanks, after looking back through the thread it seems like lots of people have the new requirements info before the acceptance. Definitely a much faster process than anywhere else, I wish more schools were this efficient! The waiting is killertuxedocat wrote:I got an email.
