How'd this go?!
I just finished my interview! Honestly I have no idea how it went. They didn't bring up any issues with my application, so I have NO idea why they wanted to talk to me. It was my first interview but the questions seemed pretty standard - asked about law and UCLA, work history since graduation, overcoming obstacles, etc. etc. I definitely floundered at a couple points. We'll see! Their Fast Track deadline is Monday, so I should know soon. Nervous!

I applied via Fast Track invite on 1/7, went complete 1/12. Interviewed yesterday and admitted today.

Dang, I've been waiting since mid-November. I guess Fast Track was the way to go!

Can confirm. FT was amazeballs, ended up making one of my last applications submitted one of the first to be decided.

Same here.

I totally sympathize with your position, huskies, as I'm still floating around in Duke's non-PT purgatory and probably will be for the rest of forever. Law school admissions are cruel! But no news isn't bad news, right?

Is this UCLA's first year of doing FT? Any theories as to what they're trying to accomplish with it--to bump up applications volume or to convince top recruits?

I suppose if you are of optimistic nature you can say that, but this process is definitely challenging that idea. I'm above both medians with at least average softs so I don't understand the hold up, but oh well, the waiting game continues!

And sorry about Duke, I haven't heard back from them either yet.

My guess is more of the latter. Also, they have a nice case study from Duke's seeming success with it, so why not?

Same here; I applied priority track (went complete 1/12), interviewed yesterday, and was accepted today. Having to interview definitely took me by surprise, but I'm definitely happy with the fast turnaround of PT

Congrats! It seems they are interviewing more frequently now, maybe a YP measure?

That's what I thought, maybe. They did hit the why-UCLA question pretty hard.

Submitted today, hate that there isn't going to be a tracker. How long does it take to get the "received" email?

Yeah, my interviewer definitely emphasized "why law" (probably because I'm K-JD) and "why UCLA?"

Is it a bad sign to not have had any requests for interviews or heard anything since received if i'm on the fast track and went complete a week ago?

The interviews are pretty sporadic, and I didn't even get asked for mine until a week after going complete. I think you're just fine. :)
