Well, hoping this is a day-long wave then. UNC is one of my top choices, and although I deposited elsewhere today I would go if I somehow got a lot of $$$

I think the website says $250 due April 11th and a second $250 due June 13th.Kanye West wrote:Just got in as well. April 25th Seat Deposit is pretty wild.
Also why is the picture of Drake not Kanye? Which one is the greatest rapper alive?

Just withdrew. No scholarship offer made UNC a tough sell for me. Best of luck to those awaiting a decision.

Admits, what did the application status checker do? I have been complete since 3/7 - will the status change at all between now and admit/deny?

Re: UNC c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
Admitted today via email as well.
Status checker changed from "Complete" 3/20 to "Status: Decision rendered." Current status date: 3/24.
Decision Status: Congratulations you've been admitted!
Decision Status Date: 3/24/2014
Status checker says first deposit due April 11, but email says we have until April 25th.
Also: "Scholarship information will be sent shortly by email. Everyone will hear whether they received an award or not received one."
GPA: 75 percentile, LSAT 25 percentile.
In-state, non-traditional student (been out of college several years and currently finishing up a Master's degree - pretty sure that's what "non-traditional" can mean in these forums). Pretty strong/unique softs.

Congrats to all that were admitted today, hoping that I get an email at some point today/tomorrow. I've been stuck on "Complete" since 10/10. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Re: UNC c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
Mine said "application complete" from December 20th until March 21st, then it changed to "complete" and the long message at the top went away. I was admitted today. I've heard the status checker does not go to "under review" at this stage, and any change means you are a few days away from a decision. One way or another. Good luck though!nickpapagiorgio wrote:Admits, what did the application status checker do? I have been complete since 3/7 - will the status change at all between now and admit/deny?

Note: This is a cross-post from the Wake thread. Posting here so people can argue/discuss.Hornets6 wrote:Trying decide between Wake and UNC…30k a year from wake and in state for UNC, any thoughts?
A few quick thoughts:
Both schools have administrations get badmouthed for different reasons (and to different degrees) from what I hear, but you'll no doubt get more personalized attention from Wake Forest. That being said, Wake's career services office has been the target of much ire in the past - but apparently they've changed a lot of things.
The Carolina attitude applies to the law school - I haven't ever talked to anyone who's felt particularly welcomed. You should be happy to have the opportunity to attend their great school. Take it or leave it.
Carolina's alumni network is bigger and stronger. Most people in the NC legal establishment are Carolina grads.
Chapel Hill is infinitely more fun than Winston-Salem, but that may not be a good thing. The kids at Carolina will probably be cooler - but again, that may not be a good thing.
Wake has more money.
Carolina Law is way liberal. Like way. I haven't heard much about Wake Law, doubt it's conservative, but 100% confident it isn't crazy liberal like UNC.
Classes at Wake will be smaller I think, including 1L sections.

Re: UNC c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
I have been "Complete" with the top text gone since 3/18. No emails, no mailings. I am OOS, but above the 75% for both GPA and LSAT.
Thoughts?
