Re: UCLA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I was admitted last week, just got my letter today. I am kind of concerned I have not heard anything about scholarships. I did have a very fast admit time (about 10 days from when I submitted), so that is possibly the cause? Or it could be my stats. I'm at 165/4.1/URM...does anybody know if that would be strong enough to receive a merit scholarship?

Is it true that UCLA won't wait for a new score if they don't think you are borderline without a retake?

Re: UCLA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I don't know, but it does say pretty explicitly in the application received email that, regardless of whether or not you have a score on file, if you are registered to take the exam again or have a pending score, they will not mark your file as complete or review it until they receive the new score. I'm assuming they aren't just saying that, but I don't know for sure. Has anyone received a decision while waiting on a pending score?angels2fly wrote:Is it true that UCLA won't wait for a new score if they don't think you are borderline without a retake?

Admitted w/ serious scholly on 12/12, went complete 11/20. Found out via e-mail because I don't have a reliable phone number. And to think, I was close to not even applying...

Did they include money about your scholarship in the email?kkdk wrote:Admitted w/ serious scholly on 12/12, went complete 11/20. Found out via e-mail because I don't have a reliable phone number. And to think, I was close to not even applying...

My scholarship letter came with my admissions package. I would email them later once you have scholarship to peer schools and ask. You can ask now too.Mariposa28 wrote:I was admitted last week, just got my letter today. I am kind of concerned I have not heard anything about scholarships. Denied today through email. Early Decision, 167 LSAT 3.6GPA (3.93 degree GPA). Also, multiple strong letters and strong softs. I am extremely disappointed and honestly a tad shocked. At a law school fair, I spoke with an admissions counselor from UCLA who said I "had nothing to worry about." Nonetheless, I guess you can never predict admissions!

That's.... surprising. Review your application, you may have a major error.akkirk wrote:Denied today through email. Early Decision, 167 LSAT 3.6GPA (3.93 degree GPA).
