Sure! Submitted 11/2, under review 11/18. It's all pretty arbitrary, cuz that was one of the last apps I submitted and yet got back pretty quickly.

Thanks y'all, and good luck! xoxo

What we like to know is that sometimes the turnaround can be pretty quick. This helps us freak out as early as possible.

Maximizing potential freak-out is key.

Berkeley is so random because it depends whether or not you go under the student/professor committee review. If Dean Tom auto-admits you, you hear very quickly. If he is letting the committee decide it takes a little longer

Don't you receive an email if you were selected to go under student/professor review?

This gives me some comfort. As much as I try to avoid paranoia, not hearing back at the same time as my fellow 11/4 UR comrades made me question the strength of my application. It is amazing how much self-doubt is created by the law school application process. I have to keep reminding myself that my application must not be that bad since I have a couple of t14 acceptances...but man is the wait still painful.

+1

I was struggling with the same thing. Then I had to do some self reflection. That we are all brilliant minds competing for a certain number of spots. So it is nothing personal. But some would say that I am just an optimist and don't like negative energy directed my way.

I personally do not know if there is a under student/professor review option? I have been following the thread pretty closely and I have only seen URs. This month also sucks in general because the process is slowed down due to the holidays in the month, and additionally the dean was sick and he is the only one that can officially accept us in the end. If you got into T-14s already that is fantastic and that is what I would be proud of! Life gets too competitive sometimes, and that is one of the things I like about this site...people actually want to communicate and help ease the struggles. Berkeley is a great school and takes a holistic approach in its review. Even though the review is long, you are in great hands!
